YAY! It was dicey there for about a half hour with the ‘tickets not available’ message, but after hitting refresh a few thousand times, I was able to get tix for all 3 nights! 😀

Aaargghh! I’m late to the game, but I want in! I’m going to try for all 3 nights, but definitely just standing for NYE – $250 is a lot to sit. I hope all tix didn’t go in the pre-sale.

Lafayette is just Thursday – Viv can’t make it at all 🙁 – Who else is going and which nights? Stoger, are you in for all 3 nights? I think our last NYE show precluded a great year, and wasn’t it at the Viper Room and not the Whiskey? Tony, Mike, and Paul – let’s do it! It’s the holidays! 🙂

West Words was NOT at the show, which was only a half-hour from home!! West Words had a ticket, and was very much looking forward to going, but was sick in bed with a nasty flu bug. 😥 Am hoping to make Orlando on Friday.

I believe the correct pronunciation is PON-tuh VEE-druh.

Thanks for taking care of my reporting responsibilities, Stoger. Will you be at the Orlando show?

Haha, I know I had to listen to it all as well! So much for getting to sleep early. I am so glad it’s a double album, wouldn’t want to have missed out on any of those songs. 🙂

I had the pleasure and privilege of seeing Chuck and the Mission Express perform his “Temple Beautiful” album in its entirety at the lovely and upscale City Winery in Chicago this past Sunday. The band was accompanied by a string section with a conductor! The juxtaposition of the classical and the chaotic was something only Chuck could pull off with such aplomb.

The next of these rare shows will be at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC this Thursday, June 12th. I am so excited that Chuck is playing at a cool venue in the big city, and I’m hoping he has a great turnout. Lu appears to be in the general vicinity at that time… I can think of only one thing that could possibly make this show cooler… 🙂

If you get the chance, go see one of the stringed shows. You will be wowed.

Hey Stog & RDM (and of course, Lafayette), glad to hear you’ll be at this show. I wish TNT could be convinced to drive north. I just landed in Asheville, and the hotel clerk informed me that it is Beerfest Weekend and that the streets will be packed with revelers. Sounds like anything could happen.

    20.Get Right With God

Very engaged and appreciative audience. I talked with a local news anchor who was attending the show as a fan (Shannon Ogden, First Coast News). He was so giddy about the show; he said that the only woman he loves more than Lu is his wife.

Tony did indeed take a terrible tumble. Stog, I would have tried to catch him had I not had my back turned, and heard the crash before I saw it. Matt ran to Tony so fast it was only later that we found his tortilla chip suspended in the bean dip, like a Pompeii relic. Tony is one tough dude. After what seemed like hours of his lying face flat on the floor, motionless and soundless, he came up cracking jokes.

Lu’s voice and the show were better than ever, sure wish I could have made more of the World Tour of LA gigs. Thanks to Paul for snaring the great seats for us.

Rock ‘n roll is not for sissies. 😯

Phew here, too! I was going to try to do the San Juan Capistrano and Belly Up shows, but waited too long to get tickets. 😥 Then the Hotel Cafe gig appeared, and it just so happens to be one day before I have to be in SoCal for work. What an awesome surprise, it’s been way too long. 😀
