    Rainydayman,

I’ll be in the PIT also! Please, let’s try to get people to stand and dance! I’ve found that the pit at the Greensboro Theatre is an odd experience because it’s just so weird being in that (relatively) large space sitting down. The sound isn’t great that close, but the proximity otherwise makes up for it! Vivian

Tickets for Greensboro go on sale Fri., Feb. 13th (eek!) at noon. Sound in the pit tends not to be great in this venue.

Lafayette, Thanks for posting this. Great video and works with the song itself, but is not overdone. And the woman in the video reminds me of so many of the women in Lucinda’s songs, as does the man. Gets my vote also. Viv

I am truly brokenhearted over the death of Miller Williams, but will forever celebrate his poetry and writings. Miller’s influence is enduring; I for one am a better person for having read and learned from his poetry. We are blessed that he was so prolific and the range of his poetry so astonishingly broad… his is a body of work that will shine brightly in his physical absence. I only wish that I could have shaken his hand and said all of this in person. Eternal love to and respect to Miller and loving thoughts and prayers to Lucinda and family. Vivian

Thanks, DDinNJ! I just called and got the first tix sold for the SLC show 🙂 They are not available online yet, but you can call arttix at Phone :: 801-355-ARTS (2787), Toll-Free :: 1-888-451-ARTS (2787), and mention the code “spirit” and they will hook you up. I was living in SLC when I first discovered Lu, and my son was born there, so this is a fitting show to return to. Viv

My multimedia skills tap out at Instagram posts, but I think a great Protection video would be full-length treatment of the black & white takes from the DWTSMTB recording sessions, snippets of which were posted on Lu’s Instagram feed and elsewhere. I loved seeing Lu and the other artists who appear on the album, and, after all, Lu’s music generally and this album in particular offer us the very “protection” of which she sings 🙂 Viv

Mmmm… It may be time for a family trip to wine country 🙂 It looks like the Napa “headliner presale” starts Weds, 12/10 at 1pm local time… Any thoughts on password or process??

Yay! Hopefully the Friendly Forum will be alerted as to when tix go on sale (The Filmore shows are not for sale on their website yet). Otherwise, I just may have to break down and join Facebook for the latest 😯

Layfayette, I quickly exhausted my technical skills trying to post the TJW picture from my iPhone to the forum. I will email it to you if you’d like to do the honors! Viv

Let’s assume Lu got off before 11 and the dreaded “union rules” of overtime pay kicked in.

Stoger, Yes, Lu did end just before 11pm. Maybe that’s why the KBB set was so short. One of the bartenders told me Lu was supposed to take the stage at 9:20, but since the opener was so short, she was going on at 9pm so I should hustle back to my seat. I’m glad she got the two encores in (I’m still scarred by the experience of having the plug pulled in the middle the first time I heard Blessed, at the Saratoga Mountain Winery, because of venue curfew!). Oh, and KBB rocked hard and loud. Kenneth gave the background of a new song, it might be called something “If I’m Going Down, I’m Going Down Hard”, dedicated to a friend who died of a heart attack at the age of 39. Went to bed after a gig in Mexico and never woke up. I also really enjoyed “Breakdown”, I think it’s called. I saw outside that they retired their old green van (but hopefully not the atlas and the Gideon’s Bible on the dash, but I didn’t check!) and replaced it with an identical white van… I saw the KBB sticker and other misc. bumper stickers and used my powers of deduction 🙂 See you in less than a week and I’ll wear my Old Gringos 8) Viv
