With the addition of a 9/18 show in Mpls
Any idea where the show is in Mpls? Or when tickets might be available? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
vinylfanParticipantI found a copy on this site. It appears it is no longer available due to a server storage space issue. I’ll look elsewhere and see what I can find. There are some descent recordings here non the less. Some are .rar files, some go through megaupload. The Berlin show from 2003 is excellent.

There is some Steve Earle and Townes as well.
vinylfanParticipantI’m dreaming a bit. Double bill. Paul Westerberg.

I haven’t done much since. For the Dylan fans scroll down past Albert King, Allman Bros, and B.B. King – lots of Bob…

This site is free, has some high quality sound and has some really really good music…
Oh, and there’s some good Lucinda here as well…Enjoy! and Happy New Year!
vinylfanParticipantWhat a bummer. I wish this could have been announced earlier. I understand it’s beyond Lu’s control but it would have been nice to alter plans with this knowledge. Very very disappointing.
vinylfanParticipantCarrie did not come out and sing with Lucinda. Good show.
vinylfanParticipantThis is super news. I too was bummed that Carrie was playing the same night but Lu is the choice I’d have to make. She opened for Lu last year and that was my first exposure. For those Mpls. folks that can call in sick, a Duluth run has to be made. Fitger’s anyone? I called yesterday and got 4th row! Unreal! Saw the band there last year and although the crowd was subdued, the sound was perfect and the band was on. And yes, what a treat to have Lu and band this close, this often. Bayfield, Zoo, First Ave (twice), and Duluth. All I can say is wow, and thank you!

Isn’t this exciting? And there is nothing strange between two strangers.

vinylfanParticipantI think you’re dreaming a little TOO large. Just trying to convey my excitement.
vinylfanParticipantOh YEAH! Listened to it no less than 3 times a day since the 14th and don’t even know how to describe the wait for the First Ave shows (and Duluth). I’ll try to keep my voice down…..
vinylfanParticipantHey, the Phil & friends have been epic to say the least. Should be a great show! And thanks to him for posting lossless recordings of his shows. Hint Hint to anyone monitoring/listening. Have a wonderful time. I’m hitting Lu at both First Ave shows and Duluth, MN. Possibly traveling to other neighboring venues as time allows. Absolutely can’t wait!
I’m sure you know about the Skinny Singers but if not Tim Bluhm and Jackie + band. There are some torrents available. Good stuff.
You sound like a “Bay Area” fan. How about that Charlie Hunter? He has relocated to New York but he is for sure under rated/flying under the radar to say the least.

Do not miss this gentleman and his trio. Truly innovative.
Thanks for the reply… Keep spreading the love…
vinylfanParticipantI do think the vinyl sounds better but that is only an opinion. I also buy the c.d.’s but there is something about putting a record on. I record the vinyl and do not compress the files. This is an equipment thing but I like the recorded vinyl better than the c.d.’s MOST of the time. Also depends on the quality of the vinyl pressing. Some Lost Highway records I have purchased seem to have a “film” on them and require quite a bit of cleaning even when brand new – I certainly do not like this – but I haven’t had that problem with W.W.T. , Live Filmore, West or Little Honey.
And there’s nothing like handing an artist the record, getting it signed, and putting it up on my wall. Yeah, I’m a geek.
vinylfanParticipantAre there more posters for this leg of the tour? Specifically Minneapolis or Duluth?
vinylfanParticipantThanks for your help. Regarding the venue, at least they took some of the plexiglass wall down from the mezzanine so the sound is better up top. Some shows here have reserved sight line seating but this one does not. Best bet is to get there early if you want a table (there aren’t many). I have seen many shows here and Lucinda will blow the roof off the joint. I can’t wait. We should try to get a group together and have some preshow beverages!
vinylfanParticipantFound information for November First Ave show. Tix on sale this Friday. Can’t wait! Now how about 9/23….
