Was, indeed, a fantastic show! The new material was fantastic – the band was in fine form. It was a little rough, though, waiting for Lucinda to hit the stage. Forty-five minutes is a bit long between acts – reminded me of waiting for Sly Stone! In this case it turned out to be worth the wait – In Sly’s case, ah, not so much!
tunancheeseParticipantAs a vinyl enthusiast – I, too, am curious about this release and will only purchase if it was authorized by Lucinda. I’ve purchased vinyl from MOV before, and, they do a great job on material that was intended for a single album release. As Car Wheels tends to run longer than the normal lp medium it was my hope that this album would be released as a double lp issue. Otherwise, the sound tends to sound compressed. A case in point – I purchased Deep Purple’s “Battle Rages On” which on initial release was only available on CD (It was issued in the EU on Vinyl and sounds compressed). This album, too, because of the CD medium ran longer than what vinyl issues tend to run, and, unfortunately, the MOV issue issued it solely as a single lp and thus the compressed sound. Yucky!!! So, buyer beware!
tunancheeseParticipantThe show in Napa as noted above was fantastic! Lucinda is a true treasure! Thank you & do look forward to the new album as the new songs introduced where wonderful. Magical night, indeed!!!
