I heard the discounted tix were available thru goldstar.com -bu I will look into that. When I checked on tickets Sat. there were some tickets left in the North Terrace towards the front -they were in the 2nd pricing level ($57)

I believe the question was asked elsewhere in here but the Folkways reissues were indeed done without any input from Lucinda or myself. In fact I found about it here while we were in Europe. Not real happy about that and my fingers are crossed that the quality is up to Lucinda’s standards.
The problem is that Lucinda got a bit hoodwinked on these records back when the deal was done and she signed away most of the rights, so I’m not even sure that we can do anything about it-but it will be looked into.

Here are some of the answers to some of the questions that have come up in this thread and elsewhere in the forum.
    1) What is “A Night With?”
It means that because these shows have two sets they will be longer shows so there will be no opener on these shows.
    2) Will they be recorded?
I would like to but still have to get the permission to do so.
    3) Special guests?
Hard to say but invitations will certainly be extended

If anyone has anymore questions about these shows–or anything for that matter–just let me know.

Bigsubi– Eric’s name is Schermerhorn, and you can click on Lefty’s wikipedia link to get all of his info. He has played with Iggy, David Bowie, The The as well as Seal and They Might Be Giants.
He has a son named Wolf, as in Howlin’ Wolf, which tells you a lot about his musical tastes. He has fit in great, Lu loves him and I think you’re just beginning to hear him put his own stamp on some of the songs, as witnessed by his great solo on Essence which someone called “arabesque”. He has a great stylistic range that will be great to hear emerge going forward.

I went to the site of the Grand Opera House and found no eveidence that you had to buy anything else to get a Lucinda ticket. I went all the way thru the purchasing process, and did not encounter anything that stipulated that.

And also what is with tattoo-its a little hard to tell-is that a tribute to left handed self gratification? Uh-Oh I hope Lefty isn’t going to be upset with me.

Tom, honey, that pic of you is enough to end my unintended hiatus from this forum. You just let me know the next time you have a problem, and i’ll make sure a pretty lil thing like you gets in every time.
What a shame. By the way its hard to tell if those are Georgia Bulldog colors or Tennessee Vol colors put thru a bad wash cycle.

Interesting- I definitely see the connection to Britney Spears. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes– working on it now -we’ve had delays getting the label/distribution deal finished -but decisions will be made soon because I would like to get it out in Sept now -so we can tie it into the last leg of the tour this year. The dvd part is basically done and Eric Liljestrand and I are going thru some additional tapes we found to see if there’s any extra recordings from that era.

Buick 6 will probably not do any additional recording until the end of the year, but they will be working up some new material at the rehearsals for the next leg of the Lucinda tour. So yes the contest is still very much in play. Thanks for ordering the cd -I hope you enjoy it.

The problems with shipping anything from the LW store internationally should be fixed in the next week or so. Thanks for your patience.

It is my understanding that we are supposed to be able to ship the B6 cd to Australia. I will find out why that is not happening.

No -he is not back and is not coming back. I do not know why he has those tour dates on his website.
