Was caught off guard with how fast the Ithaca went on sale. It seemed like it was about 5 minutes after I hung up the phone confirming the show. Yes there are more dates coming on this leg -working on it as we speak. We just confirmed 3/9 in Boston (House Of Blues) and 3/15 in Washington DC (930 Club). I am hoping to add shows 3/8 & 14 and waiting to hear back on 3/15.
There will also be some solo shows before Toronto -probably beginning 2/18 but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Details on those coming soon.

The new ACL venue is where the Lost Highway records 10th Anniversary show will be on 3/18 during SXSW. In fact I think it will be the very first show there, but I could be mistaken about that.

No they are not same thing -the radio edit is the original version made shorter for airplay purposes. The demos is the version that done at Radio Recorders in Los Angeles during the same sessions that the West songs came from. 20+ songs were recorded during those sessions.
Also–you may still be able to get the Best Buy exclusive version but you would just have to gamble and see if you got. I can tell you that a month or two ago I was in the BB in Van Nuys and they had a couple copies left. Often times if the stores return their overstock to the BB ware house that is what the internet store will fulfill from -so they may still have the bonus version but there probably isn’t a way to know for sure.

One out of two. Yes the Viper Room show is happening -odd that it shows up via Ticketmaster because it will not be TM show. As far as Stagecoach I don’t know anything about it at this point, which is not to say that it couldn’t happen as we will be starting back up in that time frame.

Stoger -To answer your question -I have debated whether I should mention this when it it is still very much up in the air but yes, we are looking into the possibility of a week to ten days of solo shows ala Fayetteville leading up to the Toronto dates.
Right now we are planning to end the first leg at SXSW on 3/18 and then begin the second leg in mid April and continue thru mid May, which would include those 2 shows that aren’t really happening yet.

I had forgotten about the question in this thread and but something reminded me of it recently and I did ask Lucinda about it. Ironically enough she remembered the last time this came up. She wasn’t sure about the literal translation as it was something that she picked up from Clifton Chenier and some of these older cajun phrases didn’t have literal translations. She said she has always taken it to mean “this time is our time” or something like that.

Given the little recognized fact that he has never won a Grammy, I am definitely pulling for him. At this point I don’t think it matters if the recent work is up to par or not-at the very least I would think of it as a Lifetime Achievement Grammy.

No -definitely not purged or in doubt. It seems someone–namely me–jumped the gun an putting those dates up before the those two festivals officially announce their lineups. As a result we were asked to take them down until that announcement has been made. Oops 😮

We will definitely mix up the material -we always do that when play multiple nights in one place. We will do the same in NY.
