Yes -I believe that is correct in regards to Sweet Old World
TOverbyParticipantMike-I would agree with you -we were discussing it this night -Dougie has been shredding.

Hope the full band for NYC currently includes Doug!
Yes it does -Doug is on board for the rest of the year –and also will be on the new record.
TOverbyParticipantIf you’re asking if Lu’s records have been on vinyl the answer is that all of them are on or have been on vinyl with the exception of Essence and Car Wheels
TOverbyParticipantYes -he is back
TOverbyParticipantNY shows are all full band
TOverbyParticipantYes – it’s all tied in with the new record label deal whenever that gets done. It will come as soon after that is all decided.
TOverbyParticipantThanks-I should also add that the Rough Trade reissue will also be a part of this new label deal and will be released as soon after the new deal as makes sense.
(also fixed the quote to say “when do we get the record)
TOverbyParticipantThanks for moving it Tom T.
TOverbyParticipantLefty–Great William Gibson quote –I believe I read somewhere a couple years ago that he is a big Lucinda fan.
TOverbyParticipantJust a small addendum to all of the above reports. The show went so well that Lucinda has been asked to do this show on an annual or semi-annual basis. I could definitely see that happening -a really great time was had and what a great little bookstore right there on site. I’m sure Prof. Stoger would’ve enjoyed it. Of course I couldn’t resist buying more books, just what I need-here is what I walked out with:
Quiet Days In Olichy – Henry Miller (based on the resident recommendations)
Distant Star – Roberto Bolano
The Judges Of The Secret Court -subtitled A Novel About John Wilkes Booth –David Stacton
Woolgathering — Patti Smith
White Riot, Punk Rock And The Politics Of Race–edited by Stephen Duncombe and Maxwell TremblayTOverbyParticipantYou know it’s going to be an interesting night when you start off with an introduction by the legendary Wavy Gravy Another great show -really continued the momentum from Big Sur and was just possibly a little more of a comfort factor with the first night under the belt (and no major false starts -just a minor one on I Look At The World).
A terrific crowd (I was told 4000+) contributed to a great energy from top to a bottom. It was a rousing finish on Get RIght with Wavy Gravy and Jimmy LaFave, an old friend from Austin joining in and the crowd on their feet. A great way to close out a great weekend run.
Really happy that the new songs are going over great -very excited about these new songs -there’s a lot more but some of them need a little more work, but I’m sure there will be more appearing in the coming shows -actually Lu and Doug did rehearse an additional one in Big Sur but she decided to wait on it.

TOverbyParticipantThe two that i’ve read and loved are By Night In Chile -that was the one I was referring to-and Lat Evenings On Earth which is a collection of short stories. I will be reading more by him as they continue to do more English translations.
TOverbyParticipantLucinda did three songs -Turn Around Look At Me, Yesterday When I Was Young and Born To Be Loved. It was quite a night -very emotional -to be able to stand in the wings with Jackson and Kris among others and watch the show was very special. Lucinda was in tears. When Glen came offstage and the end Kris went over and hugged him -an image and moment I’ll never forget.
