You are correct sir. Which means Wednesday will be another rough day for me.

I wonder if any of our FF members watched on Facebook and could provide insider info on how the show went. 😕

Regarding Lu’s remark that we are probably all “like minded”, or paraphrasing, I wonder about that. A lot of people voted for Herr Trumpenfuhrer, yes not a majority, but nevertheless he has many supporters who delight in the chaos he has caused and I would not be surprised if there are some Lu fan’s in there. It takes all kinds. 🙄

Night 1 is in the books. Good show. Not great. It didn’t really take off for me until Foolishness, which Lu belted out to much crowd appreciation. The place was packed; maybe too much. Very tight quarters and I made a mental note to myself of how I would get out in the event of a fire. My concert companion Matt said he detected a negative vibe from the crowd and from my lofty perch in the upstairs bar I did detect several skirmishes that required the attention of the usually humorless Troubadour security. It will get better.

I was pleased to be in the company of Mr. Stoger, Mr. Paul from Los Angeles, Ms. Stellabluee, and Lu bestie MIss Peggy French. I was also pleased to see forum member Cindy who is a local and attends every local show but does not post here. Post away Cindy. I was pleased to meet Mr. Jerusalem who had just flown in from his nameasake city and will attend further shows this week. Perhaps he will share his thoughts as well.

We were sorry to see that Grumpymama had to miss the show due to illness but we put her tickets to good use. I saw that many of our remote friends watched on Facebook and hope they enjoyed.

I await Mr. Stoger’s musings which will be the definitive report of the night.

There are more pictures to post but I had to dash off to the airport as I am traveling to the Bay Area with a dangerous rock and roll band. I hope to return alive and alert for Lu’s Sunday night show at the Troubadour. 8)

    From Tom:
I think the motor was hitting on all cylinders on the second sold out night at the Belly Up. We added a couple songs that hadn’t done as much lately (Everything Has Changed, Stand Right) and after the show Lu and the band were saying how great they sounded and how we need to do them more. Right now we have a list of about 30 Lu songs that we don’t get to do enough. But playing multiple nights in one spot allows us to do more of those as we like every night to be different. Sometimes we put songs together in the setlist that fit together lyrically (or musically) and sometimes random songs end up together and really fit. Tonight, Everything Has Changed, especially with its line “the highways don’t look the same, fit magically with The Ghosts Of Highway 20.
    Some nights everything just works.
