    From Tom:
And thatā€™s a wrap -the end of a very great run of shows -great crowds, great venues, some of our favorite citiesā€¦.and I could go on about what a great finish the Boston show was but I think this review say it better than I ever could ā€”although there is one little mistake at the end -he is referring to Foolishness when Lu improvises the words -not Joy. But a really great review nonetheless:

    From Tom:

So letā€™s see whatā€™s the best way to describe this showā€”did we fry The Egg?, did we scramble The Egg? When Butch went full Keith Moon for a second and his drum kit fell apart I guess you could say we beat The Egg? OK thatā€™s taking it way too far, Iā€™m sure Albanites have heard them all -but bad puns aside it was a pretty sizzling night at The Eggā€”ok, ok thatā€™s the last one. Lots of great song requests (which are noted by the asterisk on the setlist) and played most of them -several of which hadnā€™t been played yet on this tour including Greenville and Copenhagen which Lu and the band were thrilled with. The uniqueness of The Egg definitely fits into ā€œThe Unique Venue Tour Of 2017ā€ -what a great little run this has been.

    From Tom:

To say that we had two very eventful days in Annapolis would be putting on extra mild sauce. Itā€™s all too lengthy to go into here so we will do it separately time permitting, but letā€™s just say it would make a couple of chapters of The Tour Bus Diaries. Anyway it was a great show in the intimate room at Ramā€™s Head. Right off the bat the tone of the show was set with one of the best versions of Blessed that weā€™ve played in a while. Born To Be Loved finally made it back into the setlist for the first time in at least a year and Lu and band thought it sounded great. Are You Alright almost made but it will get in there soon. Ventura and Metal Firecracker were also first timers for this run. Itā€™s small but Rams Head is a fun room to play -no doubt about it.

    From Tom:
Since Iā€™ve been mentioning out of the way places and great older theaters The Scottish Rite Theatre is one of the most unique. The place just has a very mysterious vibe and there was story going around that it used to be some secret society thingā€”like the Masons or something like that. Donā€™t if itā€™s true but it definitely has feeling unlike another place we go. But it is definitely is a great sound room with a great intimate layout.
Lu was happy that she finally got to do the Merle Haggard song Going Where The Lonely Go. She had sang it at a big Haggard tribute in Nashville a few weeks ago and fell in love with the song. She had done it with the house band in Nashville so her band had just worked it up. It almost happened in Tarrytown but was not quite ready. I also have to say I think we got more messages and thank yous about this show than any other on this run. It really is great to get those and we appreciate them. We have had such a great run going to so many places we really love and this was no exception.
