First of all, you are correct in that I am able to edit my posts, which is good since my first post is usually 50% errors, and then it improves with each version. There should be a blue “EDIT” command in the upper right corner of your post. If there is not, I shall inquire about adding this feature. Everyone should be able to edit their own posts.
tonygKeymasterThanks for the great eye-witness reporting Mike!

From my computer screen it looked like a massive crowd and was a great show.
tonygKeymasterCheap Trick is still a thing? Jesus. They live and Tom Petty dies? Get off the stage and let Lu play!
P.S. Is that wrong? Too much?
tonygKeymasterGood show. A tad preachy. I was waiting for Pete Seeger to show up. Place was jammed. 2 Lu songs; World Without Tears and Bitter Memory. Bob Weir sat in for a ragged version of I Know You Rider. A solitary horse took in the entire proceedings from a trail right behind the stage.
I guess I should be a bigger Patty Griffin and Steve Earle fan than I am since they are celebrated members of the Americana thing.
tonygKeymasterWho is the electric guitarist at the far left?
edit: Patty Griffin’s guitarist David Pulkingham per EmmyLou.
tonygKeymaster😛 And we are live! Lu too.
tonygKeymasterWatching Aaron Lee Tasjan right now. Killer video and audio. Fingers crossed for a Lu webcast.
tonygKeymasterI could go on for hours about the trials and tribulations of putting on a 2-day music festival but enough about me. Music began at 2 pm and by the time Lu took the stage the place was pretty full. Lu was all business at first and did not crack a smile that I could notice for the first few songs. I was working backstage and alternately running off somewhere to do something which was not the ideal scenario for appreciating the music and reporting on it. But I could hear it and occasionally see it. The music was solid and the crowd was very enthusiastic after 4.5 hours of mostly downbeat folky music. I was watching from afar when Doug took the stage and Lu was beaming and excited. I missed most of what happened after that as I was sent to go get food.
My take is that Lu is mourning the loss of Tom Petty and this was a pretty good shot at getting back in the saddle after what were some of her best performances in a while. The festival was a great success thanks to Lu and the promoters were tickled to death to have her and the charity will get a sizable donation as a result.
Ask me about Shooter Jennings sometime. The beer drinkers were in ecstasy. His bulldog Pancake was funny. The second picture is Lu with the promoter Polly Hoganson.
P.S. Shoutouts to FF types GrumpyMama and our esteemed Webmasta.
tonygKeymasterThanks Paul!

tonygKeymasterI had a default list of menial sins that I swapped out here and there. Like I was going to admit to my real sins like murdering people and being the devil.
See you in hell.Â
tonygKeymasterConfession heard! Say 2 Hail Mary’s and one Our Father and return! 😉
