Great work!
tonygKeymasterThe Asheville venue shows a “local presale” the day before. Sounds like a ticket window sale.
tonygKeymasterCheck the tour page for a show in the UK on June 16.
tonygKeymasterThanks for the review!
tonygKeymasterShe was a bit much. At least we were spared an appearance by the ubiquitous Brandi Carlisle.
tonygKeymasterBy then I was barely paying attention.
tonygKeymasterWell. Not what I was hoping for. Glad I stayed home.
tonygKeymasterOK sports fans. The day of the show has arrived. Despite Stoger’s pleadings, I have opted to stay home tonight and watch the show with my internet friends. I will list the reasons in order of importance:
1- I had a heart attack just before Christmas. My doctor said listen to my body during recovery. I asked my body if it wanted to go. It said “nope”.
2- While staggering back to bed from the bathroom at 2 a.m. I dropped a metal step stool right on the top of my foot, instantly producing a golf ball sized bump on my foot. I can’t put a shoe on and if I did I could barely walk. You may well ask why there was a metal step stool in my way? An investigation is underway.
3- It’s going to be a long show and Lu is only going to do a few numbers.
4- There is no fourth thing.
tonygKeymasterit will be a madhouse. Lots of people trying to sell their tickets on the Troubadour facebook page Paul.
tonygKeymasterI can’t imagine ever going to another GA show. An hour standing in line, an hour waiting for the opening act, 30 more minutes waiting for the headliner, stand for a 2 hour show. I don’t think so.
P.S. And this is why I have elected to stay home tomorrow and catch the Troubadour show on the interweb.
tonygKeymasterMr. Stoger has this one figured out. It will be a tribute to Lu by various performers backed by a house band of luminaries such as Greg Leisz and Val McCallum. Lu and her band will perform at the end for how long I do not know. The Troubadour will be overstuffed with celebrities and their entourages. Getting in unauthorized will require all of one’s skills plus more.
tonygKeymasterMr. Stoger, they saved you some cake.
tonygKeymasterI am going to duct tape a guitar case to my torso and try and walk in the back.
tonygKeymasterSorry Paul. GrumpyMama reports same. Sucks to be us I guess.
tonygKeymasterAdmittedly that didn’t go well. I was in 20th in line at 10 am and was allowed to select my ticket, then immediately told no tickets were available. So there’s that.
