Not the Love Band but great link! (thats not Jimmy on drums I don’t think)
tonygKeymasterAwesome! I’m going in. Wish me luck.
edit: I bought tickets in section 1. It didn’t give a row or seat number. This is convenient because I will be on the road Friday and would have had a hard time buying tickets.
tonygKeymasterGood report.
tonygKeymasterWe will be the ghosts.
tonygKeymasterAn article in today’s LA Times says there are too many acts touring at the same time this summer. It also mentions Live Nation turning off its customers by gouging them with high prices and fees.

tonygKeymasterHere is an article in yesterday’s LA Times about their new album:

tonygKeymasterI won’t shed a tear. I read an article about Azoff around the time of the merger. He seemed like quite the asshole. It said he once went to a restaurant and set his menu on fire when he wasn’t served quickly enough.
tonygKeymasterI’m pretty sure I am spending the night there. I’ll sneak everyone in if I can.
tonygKeymasterGotcha. Napa to Long beach in one day would have been a road race.
tonygKeymasterTom, what west coast shows are you attending? I believe the Queen Mary show is one.
tonygKeymasterThx for the link, this is awesome!
tonygKeymasterThe last 2 LW shows I attended at the Ventura Theater had everone sitting in plastic chairs between the bar and the pit area. What they called the VIP area was in the pit area, which was roped off from the upper area there were a few rows of seats, and in front of the seats were some tables where people were eating dinner. There was no dancing area that I can remember. Although I did see Paul rocking out a bit.
tonygKeymasterOK kids. Let’s put the pre show fest back on too.
tonygKeymasterClassic. I’ll have to cancel the hit I put out on the promoter.
By the way, I paid $144.90 for 2 tickets.
tonygKeymasterThe problem with trying not to do business with Ticketmaster/Live Nation is they have all the best venues locked up. As Pearl Jam found out, you can’t tour by just playing rinky dink shitholes.
The music industry has turned full sail into the dark side from greed. There are lots of people like us who still want to go out and see shows and all we get is the shaft over and over.
I don’t know how someone like LW can make a living when people stopped buying records and the live music business has become unfriendly to its customers.
Rant over. 😥
