Upsetting advice? 😕
tonygKeymasterAwesome video. Thx!
tonygKeymasterLu and Doug are up there with the big kids. I hope we get a report from someone.
tonygKeymasterThx for the report Mike.
tonygKeymasterOuch.
tonygKeymasterGreat find. Doug is a true road warrior. He played with Draco Rosa in April or May, I forget when, down in S.A. I told Doug I saw a video of one of the shows and pointed out that it looked pretty wild, with the crowd really amped up. He told me that, after the show, there was a riot and lots of equipment got destroyed (not his though). Crazy stuff.
tonygKeymasterHe posted it on his Facebook page. Agree it should be awesome.
tonygKeymasterExcept I’m not going. Sorry if I indicated otherwise. I think our best chance for a report will be from West Words.
tonygKeymasterThx for the info Tom. Say “hi” to Neil for us.
tonygKeymasterI know Doug will be with her, LWjetta. I don’t know about the others.
Anyone going had better be prepared to get wet and stay wet. The forecast is for rain all weekend.
tonygKeymasterGreat report Stoger. The T-man played in Ventura a few Fridays ago with his other band, The Mojo Monkeys, but I didn’t make it out to the show since I was out late the night before at a show and was attending an Emmylou Harris show the next afternoon. I also just missed Jim Christie in Ventura last week because I didn’t know he was sitting in with someone on drums.
So everyone is out there doing something. Even us.
tonygKeymasterEverybody wants to meet Stoger.
tonygKeymasterDid you get a good look at his bass player, musiclover? It’s Taras Prodoniuk, of Love Band fame.
tonygKeymasterRuh roh. 🙄
tonygKeymasterThe show last night at the Castoro Cellars in Templeton was a big winner. After a very warm day touring wineries we made it over to the vineyard and set up the merchandise table and started drinkin wine. The show was held in a function room next to the tasting room, although it was warm enough to play outside. The doors were open to a patio deck where people were sitting at tables drinking wine. In fact, everyone seemed to have their own wine bottle and glass. Lucinda would love this place.
Anne was accompanied by Dusty Wakeman on bass and Dave Raven on drums. I’d say there were about 250 people in this room. The band was smoking. They did a lot of the electric numbers from Broken Promise Land and Koala Motel. Anne covered Roxanne again, as she did solo from the night before in Morro Bay.
At the break we kicked major butt on the CDs. Good thing Anne had us count the CDs first because they were selling so fast we lost count and I had to reconcile the money against the number of CDs left.
The second set was again awesome and I got thanked from the stage by Anne! So I came home happy.
