Those dates are set -I don’t know why they are not on dates on the website. the dates are:
8/13 -Dewey Beach, Delaware
8/15 -Westhampton Beach, NY
8/16 -Hartford, ConnThere will be nothing else in August.
We have finally locked in the final date for the Aug/Sept run. We have added Columbus Ohio on 8/8 -at the beautiful and newly refurbished Valley Dale Theater.
Collaborator -nope. She was very mad about that piece and still is to this day. Never bring that topic up.
Stuart Mathis -has been in the band for the last four years -and drums and bass is Butch Norton and David Sutton who have been with Lu for ten years.
In the video it’s Pete Thomas (drums) Davey Faragher (bass) Greg Leisz (guitar) and the legendary Tony Joe White on guitar. Pete and Davey are from Elvis Costello’s name the Impostors.
KEXP is Lu’s regular band.Nothing in Spain on this next run but I’m sure we will be back there at some point in the not too distant future.
2 more songs cut last night -what I consider two of Lu’s lost gems, Memphis Pearl and Sidewalks Of The City. Hoping to get a couple more tonight.
We have six songs recorded so far and Lu is very excited about how things are coming out. One song in particular has been completely reworked and the others getting a real updating-so I think there will be some surprises. Everyone is in agreement that these versions are blowing away the originals. The cool thing is that Greg Leisz was able to make room in his schedule as he was very involved in the crazy evolution of the original record. Heading back to the studio shortly and we hope to have every thing recorded by Weds.
Yes Paul -you’re correct -I didn’t catch that -now I suspect Tony of just letting it go to make me look bad ha ha -tough crowd indeed. It’s about to be fixed.
