ParticipantWell, I managed to miss RWH the last time he came through the Atlanta area (I didn’t hear about his show at the EARL until afterwards), but I just got tickets to (finally) see him at Smith’s Olde Bar on March 23rd. Woo hoo! 8)

Participantpaul_from_losangeles, Carrie just posted this on Facebook:
Update for Los Angeles: Howdy friends. Just wanted to let you know for anyone who was planning on coming to Largo tonight, our new friend Tom McDaniel has organized a last minute concert for us TOMORROW in Huntington Beach at the Huntington Beach Art Center. I realize it’s a bit of a drive, but if it can fit into your schedule, we would sure love to see your shining faces there! Xo, Carrie

Edit: I thought “Mama, You Sweet” made its way into the Dallas, TX set list along with “Fancy Funeral.” I’m not sure what I’ve been smoking but I was incorrect after checking setlist.fm and the glorious “Show” thread. I see no “Mama, You Sweet. “
After checking the 308 set lists that have been documented on setlist.fm, “Mama, You Sweet” has been performed 3 times:http://www.setlist.fm/stats/lucinda-williams-bd6b1f2.html
Mama You Sweet
The Blue Note, Columbia, MO, USA on June 15, 2009
And, I was at that show at the Blue Note!!! 8)

It is Mark Cuban’s new channel -I believe it is a renamed version of HDNET. They run a lot of concerts and music programming. It is channel 340 on DirecTv.
Cool, I’ll check it out.
Thanks, TO!

By chance did anyone see the Lucinda show on AXS TV last night. I knew nothing about it and trying to find where the show was from etc. Any info is appreciated.
Not me – I’ve never even heard of that channel (is it on DirecTV?). I sure would have liked to have seen it though! 😉

Tom, you can get “commercial” copies soon. Again, from the website:
“The music will be delivered to radio on March 4 and be available digitally worldwide on March 5. A commercial 12” vinyl version (without all of the bells and whistles of the limited 10” edition) will be released to retail stores on Tuesday, April 16.”
The “commercial” 12″ vinyl version does me no good – I do not have a turntable (except one that’s been in the box in a closet for 20 years with no place to put it to hook it up to my receiver). BUT, “available digitally worldwide on March 5” sounds cool, as long as it will be at a high enough bitrate (at least 256 bps)! 😉
Thanks for the info, vinylfan…

ParticipantThanks for the link, Lefty – it’s funny, but you beat Holly herself in posting this link – she just posted it on Facebook a few minutes ago! 😆
I love the line from the interview, “and ‘Waiting on June’ off of this one is for sure the one that makes even the old men cry” – I can personally vouch for that… 😉

Thanks for the warning.
The 1st 20 seconds, the last 5 seconds, the voice, the song and the street scenes in Toronto are great. The rest very disappointing -just not my cup of tea. It’s not worth a 2nd look.

I thought it was kind of funny in a macabre sort of way… 😈
But I can definitely understand being “turned-off” by it…

ParticipantIt’s the 26th, and “It Must Have Been Love” has indeed been released for digital download at Amazon (for $0.99) and iTunes (for $1.29)…
