    Brand-new interview with Shannon McNally…

She is probably rock’s most talented undiscovered gem.

DANG!!! I wish I had heard of this Blaze Foley: Duct Tape Messiah screening & Gurf Morlix concert just south of Birmingham ahead of time – I’d have been willing to make the 3-hour drive to see it, but it is tonight & we already have tickets to see Caroline Herring at Eddie’s Attic this evening.

Also, there’s a nice video at the bottom of the article of Blaze & Townes Van Zandt performing together from Austin Pickers 1984…

A five out of five rating for Blessed from Hawke’s Bay Today (New Zealand)…

While Alison Krauss occupies the sweetheart end of the country music spectrum, Lucinda Williams is unashamedly positioned at the rockier heart-on-your-sleeve end. Her world-weary vocal approach, matched with a band brimming with empathy, makes her new album Blessed a must-have.

I’ve noticed the venue has mentioned this show is nearly sold out over the past couple of days. Just thought I would mention it.

Thanks for the heads up, blureu…

Nice. Thanks for the link, LWJ. Love her voice.

I’ve received Sarah’s first full-length CD, Suburban Nature (I ordered it shortly after starting this thread) and I really like it. Doing some more research on her today, I discovered that her debut EP, Even Born Again was re-released on CD yesterday by Kirtland Records. I just ordered it from Amazon. Here are links if anyone is interested in checking it out:

    CD at Amazon.com ($10.13)
    Digital Download at Amazon.com ($6.93)
    Digital Download at iTunes ($6.93)

Well, it didn’t take the scalpers long with this show. And, judging by the price, the seller must think he has the best seats in the house… 🙄

What is this “Ticketmaster 3-day return policy” of which you speak? Ticketmaster? Customer-friendly? Service after the sale? These are foreign concepts which my mind simply cannot grasp… 😉

So, how do I find the Lucinda Williams Fan Club pre-sale code for Cleveland ?

As we all know, there is no “Lucinda Williams Fan Club” – at least, not an official one. I think when this is reported, they are talking about Lu’s Facebook fan page. At least, that’s been the most consistent source of pre-sale information & passwords for Lu shows that I have seen as of late…

Jack1956 – IIRC, I believe I heard that all the Lu / Amos Lee shows will have an early pre-sale starting tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM EDT at Amos’ Web site. Lafayette, our resident Amos Lee mega-fan, maybe can confirm this. In any case, it wouldn’t hurt to check there tomorrow morning. I believe when available, links for purchasing early tickets will be on his “shows” page, no password required.

Looks like we’ll miss finally meeting each other by 250 miles, LWJ – assuming I decide to actually go – I am seriously considering making the drive to Cincinnati…

Try this site to purchase the 5 park mp3’s. $4.50
3 Sarah and 2 Kathleen songs.
Seems they do ship to the U.S.of A.
You might have to switch over to English to buy.

Hey, LWj – thanks, but I have already tried that one too. It seemed to be working – they let me create an account with a U.S. mailing address, select the songs, etc. – but when I tried to check out, my credit card would be rejected. And, I tried two different cards, both of which I use for online purchases elsewhere regularly without an issue…
