Not sure the part about active military is accurate. Zack Brown band just played Fort Stewart and it was free and open to the public but I suppose this could have been different.
The word I got was that it wasn’t definite, but probable. Moot point now – the shows never got planned to the point where we would have known such details before getting cancelled. All I know is, I live in Georgia, and I was not planning on going to the Ft. Stewart show based on the info I had received (and I just drove to Cincinnati & Cleveland to see her!).

tntracyParticipantFrom the word I got (from a very reliable source), both this show & the other “military” show in Fayetteville, NC, were both cancelled due to no fault of TO & Lu. Rather, the promoter who set up the shows is having some issues that prevented the shows from happening. Also, dariusjag, unless you are active-duty military, I don’t think you would have been able to attend – I heard the shows were going to be private, military-only events. To bad it didn’t work out regardless – it would have been nice to see Lu be able to perform for the troops…

There it is! 😆
Tom
tntracyParticipantBlake is indeed 24 years old and he is indeed impressive!
Tom
tntracyParticipantThat was from the second night – I ended up not going as something came up last minute with the Humane Society I volunteer for. She did perform that song the first night, however…

YAY!
Tom
tntracyParticipantIs that the Irish pub directly across the street from First Avenue & “catty cornered” to the Hard Rock?
Tom
tntracyParticipantHere’s a nice video of Eilen performing “Santa Fe”…
Tom
tntracyParticipantA private show (or a last-minute announcement of a public one) wouldn’t surprise me – Lu loves First Avenue – she & Tom were married there on stage in September 2009. Plus, Tom is from Southern Minnesota. And, the next show is not until the 13th in Interlochen, MI. But, I haven’t heard of anything as of yet.
Tom
tntracyParticipantLittle Bird is finally being released in the U.S. tomorrow (July 12th). Amazon.com has the MP3 download available today for only $3.99 for the entire album! Also, they have the CD for $15.87…

Tom
tntracyParticipantCool!
Tom
tntracyParticipantSo the current incarnation of Lu’s band is calling themselves Buick 6? ❓

I’ll see what I can do… 😉

Hoo boy. OK, first of all, a big ol’ caveat here – I am far from a Wikipedia expert; more like a “newbie”, truth be told. I have edited Lu’s article a few times, adding guest appearances to the list that is there, and adding her most recent Grammy nomination. But that’s it – I have never started a new article before. But, Wikipedia has a good “how to” article so, I reviewed it, and off I went.
However, when I began the process of entering a new article “Blake Mills”, I discovered that an old article had been selected for deletion by a Wikipedia administrator in January 2010 based on Wikipedia’s “Criteria for Speedy Deletion”, reason A7, then deleted again in February 2010 by a Wikipedia moderator, this time for failing to satisfy Wikipedia’s “WP/NM” – Notability (music) guideline.
Finding this all a bit intimidating, not to mention not wanting to “buck” the decisions of both a Wikipedia administrator and a moderator, I am going to pass at this time on re-creating your Wikipedia page, Blake. Sorry, dude, but f**k ’em if they don’t think you are “notable” enough at this point to “rate” a Wikipedia article. We know you are, and we also know it’ll only be a matter of time before even the most critical & cynical Wikipedia administrator cannot deny you an article! 😉
