Yes, I did – sorry, no set list, but it was a GREAT show…

tntracyParticipantI’ll jump on this Birthday felicitations bandwagon!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LU!!!

tntracyParticipantNote Amazon has the release date of Temple Beautiful now at February 7th…

tntracyParticipantWhile I would certainly love to see digital downloads of live shows, I would NOT want to see studio work released via digital download as the sole source of distribution UNLESS it is made available in uncompressed (i.e., lossless) form. And even then, I would miss the physical CD & especially the liner notes, lyrics, etc.
I very much want to have the future flexibility of re-ripping & re-encoding at higher bit rates as storage amounts increase on my portable players. Purchasing a digital download at say 256 kbps as an example, on the other hand, locks you in at that level of audio quality forever, taking away that flexibility…
Oh, and in the “for what it’s worth” department, fourth post of 2012… 8)

No idea about the venue but I know Santa Cruz is a very cool college town.
Home of the Mighty Banana Slugs, if I am not mistaken… π

seated shows: the death of music.
While I prefer to stand as well, I wouldn’t be so dramatic as to say that seated shows represent the “death of music”. As much as I like to stand right up front, sometimes my back & knees will not permit it.
Perhaps you, too, will have a different perspective, PDL, once you are in your fifties & beyond… π π

tntracyParticipantFound out the proposed settlement for the class action law suit is as follows: if you used Ticketmaster to purchase tickets between October 21, 1999 and October 19, 2011, you’re entitled to a $1.50 credit per ticket order on up to 17 orders per customer. And if you had UPS deliver the tickets, you’ll receive an additional $5.00 credit per ticket. If customers claim less than $11.25 million, Ticketmaster will donate the rest to charity.
I don’t use UPS for delivery, but I almost assuredly had more than 17 ticket orders in that timeframe, so the max I could receive is $25.50. Oh well, that will about cover a cheap dinner out for me & the Lovely Wife… π

tntracyParticipantHmmmmmm.
I hear SoCal is lovely in January…

And, I picked up two today for Atlanta… π
Blessedly, the Variety Playhouse has a physical box office, so I was able to drive downtown this afternoon, get the tickets, and screw TicketBastard in the process. Life is good… π 8)
