I did call Madison Theater, according to person I spoke to, tickets for this show will be available April 30. Set up will be for 1,300.
Cool – thanks for doing the leg work, Lafayette…
Tom
tntracyParticipantI was checking out the Web site for the Madison Theater in Covington, KY where Lu is playing June 10th, and while I was there saw that the Heartless bastards are playing there tomorrow night (Mar. 25th).
Opening is Black Joe Lewis and The Honeybears – another Lost Highway artist like Lu. This is definitely a show I’d want to see if I was in the area!

Any idea when this album will be re-released? I have everything else by Lu & this would complete my collection. I would settle for a used copy but I prefer to purchase new. I’ve looked everywhere I could think of…Anyone have any ideas that could point me in the right direction?
I think that what you are asking about was/is a bootleg – it certainly is not one of her officially released albums…

Her first encore was an acoustic version of Jimi Hendrix’ Angel, and I would love to know if she’s recorded it anywhere so I can burn a complete concert mix of that show. Anyone know where to find it?
I may be wrong, but I am almost certain that she has never recorded “Angel”…
Tom
tntracyParticipantThis is great – i love seeing all the excitement & anticipation. I’m happy for you folks in Europe who will get their long-awaited chance to see what we often take for granted here in the States…

Well now you’re just rubbing it in. 😯
Sorry. 😳 Not my intent at all. I really am humbled by it all. Again, a night I will never forget.
One big thing I took away from the experience was how much Lu & Tom care about the fans, and how nice & down-to-earth they both are. The Lu that comes across on stage – humble, maybe even a little insecure, about her talent & her body of work, yet fun & out-going personally, is the Lu you get off stage. And, Tom is just as unassuming & nice.
Also, we talked some about the TM/LN merger & the high service charges on tickets, and they really do passionately care about that – they understand how every dollar counts to many of us & they appreciate the support & love they get from the fans. They definitely don’t have their heads in the clouds, taking for granted the people that come out to see the shows & who buy the CDs…

the Cabernet Lu was dishing out from the cupboard above the official bus sink
And let’s not forget the leftover pizza, stoger. After we both had had only popcorn from the Alabama Theater to eat for dinner, Lu & Tom’s leftover pizza was a Godsend… 😆

tntracy – Cincy is a Delta hub, I bet you could get a cheap flight from Hotlanta here from that direction at least. Or just autothrottle up 75.
Steve
Yeah, that’s a possibility as well, Steve. Kind of a “reverse” of the trip Lafayette just made. And, I have driven as far as Lexington, KY for a Lu show in the past. Cincinnati is not much farther. But, the appeal of the Chicago possibility is that it would be two shows for the price of one trip. Two “special” shows, no less.
Now if the Cincinnati show were followed up by the Chicago shows, I could drive to Cincy first, then go to Chicago from there. Hmmm…
Oh well, I’m just dreaming for now. Time will tell.
Tom
tntracyParticipantI have this CD & love Lu’s contribution as well. The song, in fact, popped up on my iPod during random “Shuffle” play just the other day…

“A couple of ‘special’ shows”? Hmmm. And airfare deals between Atlanta & Chicago can usually be easily found. Hmmmm. I better start buttering up the lovely wife!

I’m not so sure I’m digging the ballpark thing
Outdoor shows do have their issues, but minor league ballparks? You can’t get more “Americana” than that… 😉
Tom
tntracyParticipantCool. I know some happy fans from the UK will be posting here soon… 😆

tntracyParticipantHere’s a couple of pics from the Eddie’s Attic show (first one is during their set, the second is after the show at the merch table) that a friend of mine, Bob, took. He & his wife sat at the table w/ us for the show…

Anyone else wondering if we can keep this Rochester thread going until Lu comes back from Australia?
