I just heard this news on Facebook. I am heartbroken for Lu, Tom, and Jordan. I had the distinct pleasure & honor of meeting Mr. Williams on several occasions – including one incredible, once-in-a-lifetime evening in Fayetteville, Arkansas when I visited with the four of them at Miller & Jordan’s home. Miller gave me a tour of his personal library, which was filled with a lifetime of incredible memorabilia. What a remarkable, remarkable man he was…

Her new album, “The Highway” is one of my all-time favorites by *any* artist, and “Waiting On June” is one of my all-time favorite songs. I love this woman!
Sarah & I are seeing her perform at the Red Clay Theatre (owned by Eddie Owens of Eddie’s Attic fame) in Duluth, GA (just a few miles from our house) next week. It’ll be the fourth time we have seen her, third time at this awesome venue. I’d go see her 40 times if I could – much like Lu… 😉

Thanks, LWJ. 🙂 No, we placed his body on the other side of the fence out back in a little clearing and out of reach of the dogs. Today, the turkey vultures found it, and they are feeding off of it, so at least some good came of the whole sordid affair. The circle of life, and all that… 🙁
Still basking in the afterglow of the three superb shows Sarah & I saw last week here in Georgia. Between them and the other commitments I had this past weekend with the dog rescue for which I volunteer and foster, it took me two full days and about 24 hours of sleep to recover. 😳 Like I commented immediately after “It’s Not My Cross To Bear”, or maybe “Atonement”, in Macon while front & center against the stage, “I’m getting too damn old for this stuff!” (Funny story there – after the show, I made the same comment while collapsing in a comfy sofa back stage. Tom O. overheard me, and said, “Yeah, when you said that during the show, Lu’s mike picked it up & I heard it…” LOL!!! 😆 😆 😆 )
