ParticipantI like West, but would have enjoyed it more if the original recordings were released. She recorded 24 songs in LA in Spring 2005 with Doug Pettibone, Taras Prodaniuk and Jimmie Christie and debuted alot of the songs in Summer 2005.This is when I first heard them. Eventually alot of the music was wiped out and re-recorded later. I’ve only heard four “demo” songs that were released as a bonus when West came out; but I liked all four of them more than the officially released versions.

ParticipantI was lucky enough to see the New Year’s Eve show at the Viper Room. She did “Kiss Like Your Kiss” later in the show and it sent chills up my spine. She started it playing her acoustic, but after singing the first verse, she took it off and really concentrated on singing!

ParticipantI agree with you punchdrunklove, I think “Kiss Like Your Kiss” & “Sweet Love” are great songs. “Kiss” being one of Lucinda’s greatest vocal efforts ever!

ParticipantGreat post, Lefty! Speaking of Bobolator’s; do you remember A.J. Weberman? He liked to go through Dylan’s garbage.
Tim
ParticipantI like that name!

ParticipantYeah Tony, it’s outdoors but we’ll be under the pavillion. But bring it anyway!

ParticipantSounds like a great bill, bob. I saw Emmy in November in Northampton, and Eilen in Greenfield last month. They were both outstanding! Enjoy the show.

ParticipantI just listened to the album on Tuesday, Lefty. It’s as great as ever! (I have to go back to it every so often)
Tim
ParticipantI have heard it as a “co-bill”, with full sets from both artists. With Lucinda to close the shows.
