ParticipantThanks for the correction, Tom. Let us know how the show goes.
Tim
ParticipantHarry, I think that was in July of 2005, when she had The Love Band with her.
Tim
ParticipantTom, if I’m not mistaken, I believe Pieta is Bo Ramsey’s daughter. She is married to Greg Brown who does alot of work with Bo.

ParticipantYes, that is her father; but her name is Gia Ciambotti.

ParticipantI think alot of it has to do with the mood she’s in that day. It’s too bad for the fans that have to see it.

ParticipantI believe the lyric book started in 1999. I heard a show in which she stopped a song because she just totally forgot the words. Another song in that show she repeated the same verse over twice and couldn’t think of what the right verse was and stopped the song. She certainly needs that book despite what she may say. I have heard her mess the words up a number of times even though the book is right in front of her!

ParticipantAs far as the song book goes, I think Lucinda has been using it for five or six years. I was able to catch Charlie Louvin open a few shows for her this year. What really stood out was that although Charlie is 80 years old he didn’t need a book or lyric sheets to do any of his songs. Lucinda is a generation younger than him and needs that book. The only time Charlie had a piece of paper was when he came on at the end of Lucinda’s set to do a duet on “Get Right With God”, which is a Lucinda Williams song.
To each, his (or her) own.Tim
ParticipantThanks again, Lefty. I remember that day.

ParticipantI like Lucinda’s temper as long as it’s not directed at me. You should ask some of her ex-band members if they her temper. I don’t think you’ll get a positive answer. I hope that I’m wrong, but I don’t think Doug Pettibone will be around much longer.
Tim
ParticipantYes, Lucinda can drive you crazy some nights. Let me just say that there are also some very talented musicians who no longer play with her because of her behavior.
Tim
ParticipantDoug Pettibone: Guitar, pedal steel, harmonica, vocals
Chet Lyster: Guitar, keys, pedal steel
David Sutton: Bass
Butch Norton: DrumsTim
ParticipantGreat article, Lefty. Thank you!
Tim
ParticipantYou’re doing a fantastic job out here Lefty! Let us know how the Dylan/Costello show goes.
Tim
ParticipantI’m just being honest, Lefty. They’re being advertised as the complete album played all the way thru. When you put the money down, take it home, and then find out there’s a song or two missing that smacks of a ripoff to me.
