Yes, she usually always makes it to Minnesota when she tours. This year she played the State Theater in Minneapolis in April; and also played the Duluth Entertainment Center Auditorium in June. Last year she did a tour with her guitar player Doug Pettibone, and they played in St. Paul. (Shaugnessy Auditorium I believe).

Hopefully. They did the last time she was on the show in December 1998. The show only had 30 minutes of them; when the DVD was released a few years later it had the whole performance (About 75 minutes).

Lefty, one more thing about SonO; I can remember him posting a message (it may have been on the old forum here), that said his house was almost completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and that he was spending all his time & money trying to rebuild it. I believe he said in it that he was sleeping outside.

Your welcome, Lefty. He used to frequent that site often, but then his posts just stopped. That was probably when he was sick. He loved Lucinda’s music, but he didn’t mince words when the fan club had ripped off alot of people; he kept fighting for them ( and himself). He was also not happy about what was happening to Lucinda’s band, and new direction. I miss him very much.

Here’s some posts I found on another Lucinda Williams website.

Thank you very much for posting the pictures. Looks like you had a great view. That was Flappy her production manager. She didn’t know what key the song was in, despite the fact she’s been playing it alot lately. He moved the capo up for her and might have written the key the song was in on the book. He’s been invaluable to her, especially over the last two years. He puts up with an awful lot; I hope he gets paid well.

I agree with you, wholeheartedly, Gretsch. It would be run out of Burma if I’ve Lost It was running it. You can tell by his posts that the only thing he’s lost is his mind! Hopefully things will get better when they get to Europe, but I don’t think it will. I’m afraid that Doug will be the next to leave.

Gretsch, I agree with you. The problem is getting worse with her. I’ve Lost It has said this has always happened. It didn’t happen in 1998-1999 and probably before that too. The last two years it has accelerated. There is nobody on stage to tell her “You have to do better, this is not good enough.” She had a tremendous band with her from 2003-early 2006. Taras & Jimmy Christie left and that’s when things changed big time. I saw the band you’re talking about last fall & I couldn’t believe the difference. If she just wants “yes” men & hired hands onstage with her I think this is just going to continue.
I love her music as much as anyone; I was lucky enough to attend 14 shows on this tour and when she’s on there is no one like her. But I have to say that almost all the shows I attended almost none of them sold out, despite the fact that they were small-medium size halls. So I think that maybe people just are turned off by what they see. Hopefully something will be done and she’ll get it back together.

Thanks for posting the video. It again shows Lucinda not knowing what is going on while trying to do one of her own songs. But I’ve Lost It will say that it was a tremendous performance because he bows down on the Altar of Lucinda every night. Anyone that disagrees with his opinion gets hit with a barrage of profanity. And then he has the nerve to tell other people they have no class? So I’ll say don’t worry to the previous poster; it happens all the time. A day or two after “West” was released he was out here calling it a masterpiece. A number of people out here disagreed and of course the F-Bombs started flying. Keep giving your own opinions out here, please.

Hopefully the people that bought the CD with “People Talkin'” missing will be able to exchange it for the one that has it included.

Tom, according to Bo Ramsey’s website he is touring with Pieta. Looks like you’ll be seeing him in person in Decatur.
