Lefty, you have some hidden powers!
TimParticipantYou’re welcome, Lefty. “Meet Me In The Morning” would be great. I was lucky enough to be at the Greensboro, NC show last September when she ended a great show with “Masters Of War”. I still can’t get it out of my head. It was bonechilling.
TimParticipantThe only shows that I know of are: July 12 in Lowell, MA & August 28 in Medford, Oregon. The Lowell show was just changed from July 18. It won’t be long before they start to be posted. Make sure you check out her site on High Road Touring for future shows.
TimParticipantThat is great news that Rob Burger was in on the sessions. I thought that he did an excellent job on “West”. He was like the unsung hero of the album. Added alot of atmospherics to the songs.
TimParticipantThanks for the info, Inside Job. I agree with your comment on the surprises. I’d rather not know at this early stage.
TimParticipantI just hope that Lost Highway gets the new record out in Aug/Sept. Last year “West” was ready to come out in early November, but they pushed it back ’til February because they put out “Car Wheels” 2. I’m afraid of the same thing happening because of the reissue of the self titled album. I’m not interested in buying music that has been out there for 20 years, no matter how many so called “bonus” tracks they throw in. I won’t be buying it! Get the new record out when it’s ready; no delays! Can’t wait to hear it.
TimParticipantI agree, Tony. They did great versions of those songs. Remember the night that someone yelled out for “West”? She said, “Oh, you want to hear that?” And then did a tremendous version of it. Also liked Mike Stinson “Slip My Mind”, Jim Lauderdale “King Of Broken Hearts” & Emmylou Harris “Red Dirt Girl”.
TimParticipantKat, Just do a search for Lowell Music Series and you should find it.

TimParticipantThank you for the great news, Janka. I’ve got my tickets. Let’s hope there’s another show or two in the area.
TimParticipantThat is great to hear! Best of luck with the sessions. Hope everything goes well and the record comes out before the end of the year. Don’t forget about “Well, Well, Well”.
TimParticipantSorry Stan; I’m not bitter and not a Republican either. Wrong on both counts. Those opinions are not mine.
TimParticipantThanks again, Lefty! Happy Holidays.
TimParticipantGreat suggestion Tom! Thank you.
TimParticipantIt sounds to me as if you’re listening to “West”, which is her latest album. It came out in February.
