How was Greg’s playing? Need I ask. Was Carrie’s husband there? (Javier Vercher.)

Tom, I think I understand your reasoning; but because someone is emotional or passionate does not give them the right to conduct themselves like that. I can say I’ve seen four so-called meltdowns in the last year or so and they’re getting uglier and uglier. She’s acting like a petulant child, but because she’s “emotional” that makes it okay? It’s time for her to get her act together; she just went out on tour. I think she’s under alot of pressure right now. She’s always saying how “happy” she is but she looks and acts like she’s miserable. Her last two studio albums have not sold many copies, and she may be feeling the pressure with the new one. (It’s already been pushed back twice). I’ve seen her audiences decline over the last two years; let’s hope she’s not relegated to just playing clubs soon. As far as her not touring; she has to tour. Her records do not sell enough for her to stop; this is how she survives. I just hope that we’re not seeing the beginnings of a self-destruction. Take care, Tom.

TOverby, why do you have to come out and take the apologist view. You’re very defensive when someones view differs from yours. You’re too close to the scene, try some objectivity once in awhile. Lu’s behavior has been unstable for years, but you don’t notice? You’re doing a good job as manager, you’re very hardworking, but there is some propaganda in some of your postings. The new fans may not notice, but long time fans know. Why does Lu complain about how “it’s not easy being up here”, and how difficult it is. She has a great talent that alot of being would almost die for. Why doesn’t she like performing? Also, please make sure that she gets onstage on time so she doesn’t have to complain that “I’d like to keep playing but there’s a curfew here.” I’ve seen Dylan, the Stones, Allman Bros, Neil Young, Clapton many times in my life, not once have any of them mentioned that word! It’s the performers responsiblity to know when there’s a curfew.
Just because of the conditions in Atlanta does not give her the right to act like she did; no need to apologize.

Nice comment Tony. Some people will back Lucinda’s behavior no matter what she does or says. The thing that bothers me about this latest episode is that she humiliated & denigrated her crew who work very hard for her night after night! She has lost alot of good people (crew & musicians) over the years because of that kind of behavior. She may be a real person, but it’s time that she balances it with some self-control & discipline. Maybe Flappy just got tired of it.

Inside Job has said that they have a record that will be out very shortly, but it will only be available at Lucinda shows at first.

This was not a fair review in my opinion. Seems like she had an axe to grind. I think Lucinda & the band played close to two hours also. There are some interesting comments (down near the bottom of the page) by people who were also there.
