TimParticipant
Tom, thank you very much for the link. I have to get this. Just bought Charlie’s new album last month and really enjoying it.
TimParticipantLefty, I saw Lucinda do this song for the first time in 2005. She did all the vocals herself that night, but explained to the audience that it was written as a duet. She mentioned Jack White’s name that night as a possible partner when it was to be recorded!
TimParticipantEnjoy the show tomorrow Stoger!
TimParticipantBoston, MA; Orpheum Theatre 10/8/08
This is an approximate setlist. I was too into the music to write them down. I think I have all the songs, but not in the exact order. Thought Lucinda sounded great! and the band was clicking on all cylinders. Got to talk with Doug for a minute before the show. No, I was not involved in the fight. (Only in Boston; and the woman yelling out after the first couple songs: “Turn up the sound will ya, we’re not that f*****g old!”)

TimParticipantThe show is listed on the Orange Peel’s website. Why are these shows being moved? (Knoxville also). Are tickets going that slowly? It appears that none of the shows are sold out yet.
TimParticipantGreat post Disco Stu! I really enjoyed reading your comments.
TimParticipantFirehorse, I know how you must feel. I would say after seeing Lu during the last two years that it is hit or miss. The real good shows are much fewer and far between. Good luck.
September 15, 2008 at 11:56 am in reply to: Sac show a disappointment as a first time Lu show #37099TimParticipantI have to agree with alot of the sentiments expressed here by some big & longtime Lucinda Williams fans. When Tom Overby posts something I usually see three things. Propaganda, spin & BS! He must have a megaphone in one hand and a pom-pom in the other. Nothing but a cheerleader.
TimParticipantSorry about that! Picture is from The Catalyst in Santa Cruz.
TimParticipantTimParticipantI don’t know about this venue, though. Mostly standing room only. I found this review of someone who attended a show there last year. Too bad she didn’t play The State Theatre like last year.
