not on sale yet for NY or NJ
theGrapeDotOrgParticipantIt pains me to see that this much anticipated visit to NYC is at a general admission/standing for 2 or 3 hours venue.
Any chance for VIP seating somewhere for the old-timers whose legs are starting to go?
Any other NYC venues planned?
Or maybe NJ or Westchester – they have seats there ;~}theGrapeDotOrgParticipantI think if people want to see a flawless show, they should go see the Eagles who will not vary a single note from the album. If Lucinda doesn’t like what she is hearing and she wants to start over, that is her prerogative. It does stop the flow and you and I might not notice the difference, but this high standard help make the final product live and in the studio so freaking special.
I think one of the reasons that Joy and Honey Bee were so hot is that the band was stoked after covering the New York Dolls. They did Looking For A Kiss justice down to filling in for the late great Johnny Thunders.
theGrapeDotOrgParticipantLucinda in her most relaxed and happy mood giving an inspired and
sometimes nervous (because she hadn’t performed the old songs much)
performance with one of her best bands I have seen.First set was from 8:25 til 9:40. Second set was from 10:10 til 11:25.
I could have done without two of her guests (Fionne Regan and Angel
?), but Joan Osborne and Yo La Tengo were great and very good
respectively. She ended the show with Joy and Get Right With God and rocked them both.
Her two mamas (her name for them) singing backup were a nice addition at times though the sound was a little uneven in terms of the vocal mixing. Otherwise, the sound was fantastic. I was upstairs and was surprised how good it sounded. I suspect tonight in the 4th row (yeah – sorry) the vocals
may be missing even more for me.theGrapeDotOrgParticipantthese are incredible seats – hope someone gets them

I’m able to get at least the last two NY shows – willing to trade for other nights.theGrapeDotOrgParticipanttvc15 wrote:I saw something about a L.W. show at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ on 9/27/07 a week or two ago, but now I don’t see any info. Was the show cancelled? Thanks in advance.I called the box office last week and they had great seats available (5th row center)
