At this juncture, scraps of FB postings would be welcome. But let’s sit tight and I bet some details of that show will emerge. Think I went through that town back there in ’88. . .
stogerParticipantPerhaps it will be a kind of compromise opener, say, Buick 2.
stogerParticipantIsn’t the Paramount mere blocks from the corner of Colfax & Broadway, where news footage suggested the Occupy Wall St. protesters were being cleared out of last evening? Anybody have a report from the show?
stogerParticipantPanther or cougar, parker? Geez, hope Overby and Lu didn’t notice her either, but doubtful. Glad you got to hear “Stowaway,” and I also envy you “The Night’s Too Long.” Thanks for the reports.

here’s my 2 cents for OW/protest song covers: Eve of Destruction and Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall
The former might make it, grumpy, since Lu recorded it with its writer, P F Sloan, for his “comeback” record a few years back. I was fortunate to hear Sloan play it live that same year–with sideman Duane Jarvis.
stogerParticipantWell, Amy Lavere may be traipsing around the UK during the second week of her tour there, but today brings other happenings for Billy Burnette:

Yes, my own li’l Jackson TN is hosting his induction, along with Jack “Cowboy” Clement. Twenty-five bucks seems a hard result for a 2-mile drive downtown, but the music goes on all afternoon, so we’ll see. Would I rather be on a Rocky Mountain high today? You bet. Still, the Jayhawks storm Memphis tomorrow night, with Jolie Holland. . .

Let’s see.
Lucinda had shows on 10/26/2011 in Baltimore followed by Allentown on 10/28/2011.
So here’s what Blake did on 10/27/2011 in Philadelphia.
From the Theater of Living Arts with Dawes the song is “My Girl to Me”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix99JQfYE6k
So I guess Blake found his own way to Allentown. One fewer person for Lu to stumble over in the bus corridor. . .

stogerParticipantRockin’ in the Free World, indeed: thanks, lwj. Three quarters full is a drop from that lovely matrimonial concert, but this club is great. Now to hear from our Kansans (and/or Okie Parker) in a couple of days. . .

eileen and susannah are the ones responsible for selling stuff?
well, here’s a thought: I’LL BE PERFECT FOR THE JOB IN EUROPE 2012. HIRE ME.
I’ll see what I can do by way of letter of rec, punch. Be aware though that Susannah made the trek over on the heels of the US dates; still, you might have a shot. Do you have retail savvy?
stogerParticipantModeration, moderation. Well????????
stogerParticipantHave fun, and reconstruct the setlist for us, best you can remember.

Thank you for the validation, Prof. stoger!
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the vivacious presence of Eileen last night, a worthy successor to the legend that is Susannah.
Oh, and by the way, LWj & I both agree: Blake = MonsterThe swag is in capable post-Susannah, post-Matt hands, I’d say.
stogerParticipantI call this a healthy trend, weather-wary or not: duo shows popping up in front of the long-booked UCLA thing with Blake. I’m feeling some wintry western climes in my early 2012 planning. . . .
