I nominate as “Best Post of the Year.”
Thank you, friend. And yes, i witnessed Anne turn up the tip jar and comment on an Andrew Jackson component of it. I myself contributed a measly pair of singles. But I was more than there in spirit.

Well it’s 7 am down under, the morning after the last show. I’m sure everyone is bright eyed and bushy tailed and getting ready to come back home. Or not. 😉
A potential one-man greeting party at LAX: tonyg!
stogerParticipantThanks for this find, lwj. Meanwhile, perhaps TO will post a complete festival setlist and even another blog entry under the “Lucinda in General” stream soon. Can’t get enough vicariously, stateside-bound. . .
stogerParticipantI’m easy today. A+ to all and sundry. . .
stogerParticipantI’m willing to go A- on the Overby prose. The phrase “ain’t going anywhere” could be considered a lapse from TO’s usual King’s English but hey, this may be a Dylan song title allusion, and at least TO avoided a double negative in his rendering of it. My red pen is poised for blog entry numero tres.

And as an Aussie who was at the gig last night, all I can say is what an awesome show! Lucinda is in fantastic form, can’t wait for Byron Bay with the addition of Doug. Enjoy your tour guys and thanks. 😀
Bettsy could you post a setlist under the “Shows” thread–or at least reconstruct the songs you can remember? Thanks to toverby for the usual insights, and we look forward to further blogging and/or setlists!
stogerParticipantNo, lwj, my Pettibone family sources have dried up seemingly, nor of course would I have seen Doug’s Facebook page. But more power to the expanded band. Forty songs is a start 😀 How’d you like that segue from rehearsing to packing which Lu provided in the interview? I bet her mind is more on the latter these days, as the boys bring Mathis up to speed. Wish I could go Down Under by early autumn time there. . .
stogerParticipantYou’re the man, Paul. I missed that top tier, not to mention the rows 2-6 grouping: Good work.
stogerParticipantAh, Pacific Time. A very helpful Harold’s employee answered on the first ring; I’m pretty sure Billy Bob put me on hold way back when. VIP seems to suggest “first few rows” of seats, with “access to our gallery area.” I don’t quite think it’s worth 80 bucks, but I may be wrong. I did verify that GA standing will get you close (sides) but not real close, as there’s zero standing/dancing/swaying space between the stage and VIP row one of seats, centered. The middle package of GA seated at 35 plus fees seems the most prudent of the three tiers.
Yet after all that build-up, I’m still procrastinating and couldn’t bring myself to make the purchase choice just yet. . . .

Thank you, Perfesser! How ya been? 🙂
Been wondering, as ever, where those GD ducks go in winter when the pond ice freezes over. . .
stogerParticipantHo hum, guess Ticketmaster means Pacific Time a la Vancouver BC, though does Arizona even observe Daylight Savings Time?

But they’re not on sale until Saturday, right? or did I miss a presale code? Maybe time zones different in Canada? 😀
Ha, Ha stoger we have the same time zones here in Canada.
Did you miss my post at the bottom of page one with the Ticketmaster link?Ticketmaster Starts 10:00 a.m. EDT 03/16/2012 FRIDAY NOT SATURDAY
$75.00 +$8.00 feeslwj
10-4, lwj. Same time zone as those “Blue Canadian Rockies” Cindy Walker made such a big deal about, eh? Amazing that the Arizona desert shares that with certain segments of your land (Jasper maybe? Kaloomps?). Only 90 minutes to go. . .

I’m her sister and I’m named after a J.D. Salinger book, so you’re not that far off.
Indeed, when I first met Zoe in Bristol (first entry in page one of this thread), I was quick with my Salinger analogy, which she politely parried a little bit, saying that an office mate of your mother’s (?) was also named Zoe. Then again, the Salinger character’s name has a “y” on the end, no? I don’t remember our conversation exactly. But yes, the art work is a treat on both records. Hope that sophomore record from Signature Sounds has your visual hand at work also, Phoebe, whenever that one is due to come out. I believe I’m right that Zoe played some from it on that Seattle radio thing. Are she and the Lost High Rollers back from Europe yet? Also, one thing we discussed in Bristol was her fellow Pacific Northwest singer-songwriter Sera Cahoone having landed a Lucinda opener slot once. Without being catty about it, Zoe indicated she would have loved to be the opener instead! Glad you both love Lu, and tell us more here about your background in art and design. Lefty, good post too.

Help! I’m solid for that morning-after Sabbath breakfast buffet and strongly considering a private jet from Austin to get to the Friday fish fry, but I see no link for Lu tickets. . . .
This is going to leave Billy Bob’s in the dust.
