Couldn’t categorize Dust as a rocker. (Think “Are You Down” or “Are You Alright” feeling.)
Just my take on it. Individual results may vary – as they say.

TNT and Sarah were with us both Atlanta nights, but saw no other luminaries from this fan base.

thanks Randy. I got the selist via backdoor methods but would love it to be posted here by a person actually in attendance.

Ha–“Plan to Marry” was WAY in the back of the book I imagine. But fond memories of it being done in Minn. 2009 at First Avenue, the 19th of Sept. was it?

Ditto on “Dust,” Mike. Randy, was it a rocker? It seems so placed in the setlist order.

Anyone spot a co-Forum moderator in the masses?

Hello Cleveland!!!!!!!!! Perhaps this could be called the mass debut of “Ghosts” and “Heaven,” in terms of full Lu headlining gigs. More please.

We appreciate all your postings, Tom. I was hoping Viv or Lafa might have been in attendance at one or more, but I believe they couldn’t swing those, as I could not either.

well, now I believe some Forum-ites were, but maybe not. I’ll be back in the fray come the MO/IL weekend, however.

But your intentions were noble, narrowing the field to the toxin-resistant Trump and a couple of others.

‘Plays Well With Others’ is a great album! Kudos to the guys! Question: I’m assuming that Buick 6 is named after that one Dylan song? True or something else? Wish I had been at The Stone Fox instead of at home on couch nursing an ear infection and bad molar situation… Viv (Bad Molar Situation = good name for punk band)

I don’t know about the band name origin, though I do know at least one band (a British blues band?) took that name previously–bit of controversy initially.

you sure that wasn’t your spouse verbally evaluating the pants, D?

Nice acronym for the song with the long title, took me a minute to decipher. . .

On to Ottawa, i assume? Will we see you in middle America next weekend?

Stoger, I started to text you. I got to see the show. Not going to make it to the Stone Fox tonight. Very happy for Lucinda and the band. She looked very surprised. I am going to see Jay Farrar Sunday night. How about you?

ticket in hand for Farrar: let’s reunite at 3rd and L, Kelly.

too lazy to start a new thread, but this does follow up on certain items in this thread: As many folks know by now, Lu won the award for Album of the Year, beating out Sturgill Simpson (who got her in the other two noms) and others. Her speech was short; she was obviously surprised. Co-producer Greg Leisz thanked some folks, and Tom gave a nice shout-out to Thirty Tigers in general and Kim Buie in particular (though I think she works for New West now).

Eight people on stage for “East Side of Town” is a bit much, but since two of them were Leisz and Stuart Mathis (who was defeated by John Leaventhal for Instrum. of the Year), it still worked. Don Was was AWOL, but the house band was superb as always (three “w” words in same sentence).

I had the honor of sitting next to Anne McCue for the three hour and twenty-five minute proceedings.

I saw Stuart outside beforehand, waiting for his wife and daughter to share this big night with him.

Ian McLagan was acknowledged, but maybe the highlight for me was Keb Mo eulogizing BB King, then doing a classic King song from the 60’s. Wednesday would have been his 90th birthday.

    Any other Forum folk there?

Tonight, Shannon McNally + Buick 6 at the Stone Fox, the latter with a surprise guest if I don’t miss my guess. Anne McCue plays a 5:00 set prior, at Douglas Corner CafĂ©.

Anyone else catch(or attend?) the live debut of Lu’s new song.. Ghosts of Highway 20 via Periscope tonight?

Very cool new song debuted at what I believe was a private function CIMS (Coalition of Independent Music stores) anniversary celebration. Great song, I was wondering if it might not be the title cut for the upcoming new album.

    * If you follow Lu on Twiitter you can watch the broadcast even though it’s ended…

Well, no, but I did catch its true “debut,” as reported in the Rosanne/Emmy/Lu thread, on Sept. 3.

Thanks Mike for reporting on the semi-private New Orleans event. Hopefully, Tom will tell us more. Meanwhile, GO LU AND STUART WITH THESE NOMINATIONS FOR TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
