I believe I met stoger first at the Fillmore SF in 2011, intro via West Words. I’d like to even say that it was so impactful that I now live in the Bay Area (but I really left my heart in Ventura). Many great meetups since then and it’s been way too long mr. stoger 🙁
I will be making every effort to get to this Mountain Winery show. Hopefully see you all there or I will be living up to my username 👿
Shucks guys our co-moderator is going to have to rename this thread if these paeans to the Stog continue. Most of your memories are better than mine, but I appreciate y’all.

Mr. Stoger, through a veil of tears, and the occasional sob, I seem to recall meeting you somehwere, perhaps the Hard Rock Cafe in Anaheim (?), Although I had seen you in Northampton MA lurking outside the Calvin Theater as Tim and I sped away into the night about a year earlier but we did not meet. 8)
Edit: I do not remember the hand twirl.
What a fine memory. And I deny any hand-twirling until someone describes the gesture more fully and convinces me of my mannerisms.
stogerParticipantGolly gee guys, I hope these stories are all above board. Tony, was it Portsmouth, NH, or did we meet before in CA? I guess I should remember. Vivian, don’t give away all my trade secrets. It’s great to keep meeting new fans individually (most recently one each in Boston, Chicago, and Minneapolis), but you guys and a few others are the core. I’m now close to tears.
stogerParticipant“Stand Right” & “Passionate Kisses”–whoo hoo!!!!!!
Thanks to Tom and Tony. I’d love some feedback on the last two Dakota shows also.

Another review with mentions of songs not mentioned in the first posted review. One could come close to putting the set list together from the two.

NOTE: 2 Kool made the set list, again!! 😮
a good find, Laf. We know that Lu is childless. I wish the reviewer had mentioned Butch and Stuart (and David) by name. And “Magnolia” in the list, ah……….
stogerParticipantOr three, or four. I’m no Cubs fan, but I believe this is an exact quote from the shortstop turned first baseman, Tom.

Thanks paul (and stoger) !
Great setlist and very unique as you say..
Can’t Close the Door and There’s a Heaven are great songs from the new album and very cool to see Steal Your Love, Sweet Side, and my all time favorite Real Live Bleeding Fingers in the line-up!Oh man. Vivian and I were on our feet after “steal your Love.” I find it hard to describe what Stuart was doing in the instrumental finale of that song, but it was outstanding. Blake Mills used to rough that one up in a fine way, but this current version smokes. Let’s hope it continues to make the list.
stogerParticipantI think she’s told the “angel” story a couple of times from stage, not much. Thanks for starting this thread, laf.

Looks like this report was submitted early in the am. Are you catching a flight? Thanks for the set lists. Looks like you got a really top notch run of shows. Be Safe
What an eagle eye, D. Yes I posted in Easter’s wee hours, got 7 or so hours sleep, and am now headed to Cleveland airport. What a run. Who’s picking up the ball in Ann Arbor?

75 songs? Nice.
That is a great shot of Lu and the band. And David’s hair.
I call this an average comb day for David, laf.

Atta boy Mr. S. Was your trip across the border filled with warm and fuzzy interactions with Customs?
Enjoy your visit to my hometown from 1994 to 1996. 8)
smooth customs, Tony: donning the fabled Frank Callari/Lucinda Fan Club sweat-shirt didn’t hurt. I got a cool agent, though he went out of his way to say his father’s generation was the source of his knowledge. As Lu might have put it during “Foolishness,” “all of this ageism in my life. . .”
You did an Ontario stint, Tony? Where did you go in Jan. and Feb.?
stogerParticipantThe ad in the weekly Toronto rag NOW lists Lu and Buick 6 as “from Austin, TX.”
stogerParticipantCouldn’t have crafted it better myself, laf. The question now becomes how many of that “trifecta” will find me in audience with you?
