Ha: Lu “messed up” = the top of the line for most every other hyper-sober performer.

And yes, Red Pants is almost as enigmatic as “Blue Balls Festival” in Switzerland, which Lu played some years back.

Glad to be back on an increasingly user-Friendly new Forum, stoger

Lillie Mae is a big star now eh, Mr. S?

Yes, People mag + late night talk shows, etc. The crowd was thinner than I expected last Saturday, but middle TN outdoors in July uh huh uh huh. She’s still loyal to the fam though, and it’s kind of nice to see Frank (“Frankie Carter”) Rische playing guitar rather than bass. Her final sibling lives in Toronto, else the whole generational clan might have been up there Saturday.

Looking pretty good the other day in Nashville, three of the four siblings on stage with her, plus a new-to-me rhythm section. Billy Joe Shaver on same festival bill. Ah, those Southern artists who employ their middle names. . .

Sounds good. Bringing my aunt. This is her first Lucinda show.

The opener for this KC show, you ask? Why, Amy LaVere/Will Sexton. A treat for me, Parker, Parker’s aunt, Mr. & Mrs. Backstreets, and who else? Yippee!

    Can’t wait!

Happy 4th to you and Lu as well (and all the ff members)

Ha ha: when in doubt, just add an adjective to the original album title and “make it new.” (Ezra Pound) Looking forward both to Salt Lake I and to the record release come September (right after Americana conf, eh?).

Those dates are set -I don’t know why they are not on dates on the website. the dates are:

    8/13 -Dewey Beach, Delaware
    8/15 -Westhampton Beach, NY
    8/16 -Hartford, Conn

There will be nothing else in August.

Thanks, Tom. I forgot about Hartford when I wrote my previous one, but good to see the Blue Hen State up here. Four in a row is easier with two of them Chapin Carpenter I suppose.

We have finally locked in the final date for the Aug/Sept run. We have added Columbus Ohio on 8/8 -at the beautiful and newly refurbished Valley Dale Theater.

not to get too greedy here Tom, but what about Aug. 14 or 15 or 16 (hell, all three)? It just ain´t that far from VA to Rhode Island. the word “final” above can be easily amended, no?

Holy Knuckleheads: anyone free on August 2? This is the place inaccessible by public transit yet consisting of at least three stages. Outdoors in midwest heat late summer? Bring it on.

Apparently, she’s covered this over the years, from the dates I’ve seen submitted on YouTube. Amazing.

And she put it on one of her studio records, circa ’06-’07.

Am I hip to the hijack or to the date?

To answer the hijack query, sure, I’m hip.

To answer the date query, I may be out of town July 27 – Aug 5, still working on details.

Well, I was asking “Iowa Mike,” but good to know your schedule too Lafayette. Thanks for posting Purdue.
