No “edit” button in sight.
I think Hot Blood was 11, Memphis Pearl 10 (lu enjoyed drawing out the syllables of the word “Memphis”), Sidewalks 9, Prove My Love 8, Lines Around 7, Pineola 6, Angel 5, SOW 4, Driving Down 3, Something About 2.
The first encore was “We Have Come Too Far…” with long intro on gun control. This was ahead of Jesus and Joy.
something was between Dust and Fool, also something between Out of T and Essence.
Done.
stogerParticipantDurn, she didn’t do them in sequence. And it’s just now sinking in that This Sweet Old World and Sweet Old World have different sequencing. Nothing wrong with that.
Thanks, Lafayette.
stogerParticipantThanks, westwords and Lafayette. And NO, Tonyg, Facebook needs no more new members today.
stogerParticipantSome folkified leftwing rhetoric from the stage, eh Tony? Not your bag?
stogerParticipantWho played guitar? Pettibone? PUlkingham? Mathis?
stogerParticipantSo who played lead guitar on the Pre-Pettibone unasterisked numbers, Tony? That Patty Griffin player mentioned in the other thread? Stuart still in Nash?
stogerParticipantYou might need to go to the Park West Chicago website, as it may not be yet listed her or on High Road Touring website.
stogerParticipantThanks for following up on my original tie-in of Petty with Hillman, lafayette.
stogerParticipantha ha: must have been looking on the micro not macro level: sorry.
stogerParticipantDo we have a date for this Park West show?
stogerParticipantThanks for your thoughts Spyder. What a Monday for the ages.

The icon I usually can’t find is “Edit” but my own posts are so flawless first time round I reckon I’ll ne’er need it. Who stepped up and played guitar at this show? *
Well, there’s “Edit in blue” right in front of me. Maybe there’s a limit to visible icons which fluctuates each sign-in.

I cycled through the new CD yesterday after purchasing it at Grimey’s, and my pink vinyl should come soon. Good to learn Jim Lauderdale’s full name via the liner notes. Why oh why did Lu not ever put a couple of those bonus tracks on her releases through the years? Great stuff. “Prove My Love” seems most changed–and to the better (apart from the newly named one of course).
stogerParticipantYou write a tough post, Tony. And where is paul from los angeles in all this?
stogerParticipantHa ha: name your “usual locals,” Tony. I envy both the wind and your/West Word’s presence. I’ve seen Elizabeth Cook on a one-off kind of opener for a Lu gig in east TN. The weird thing is that Mike Stinson played Conroe, TX the same night as Lu few years back. Yes, not Houston, not Dallas, but CONROE. Lu and camp went to the club to hear him afterwards, to the point that Mike ad libbed from stage: “I’d now like to introduce the audience members.” I especially love his song “Take Out the Trash.”
You Golden State folk have it made this week and last.
