Don’t look now all you roadtrippers, but another show has been added at High Road Touring, sandwiched in between the Columbia, MO & OKC dates:

Wednesday June 17, 8:00 PM, Kansas City, MO, Harrah’s Kansas City

Does this mean you will be extending your “School’s Out” vacation tour???

I’m lookin’ “now,” and I’m lookin’ hard, guys. Let it never end. . . .

Thanks also. I’ve heard Kasey Chambers and her band of Bill Chambers, Jeff McCormack, etc. do “Changed the Locks” live in small American clubs–hard to believe she commands arenas in Australia yet we get up close and personal with/to her in the States. Matter of fact, first time ever I heard Lucinda live, KC was the opener. . . .

Thanks, 2 Fish. Can you approximate a set list for us, or at least mention some titles played?

We are on the floor at the Blue Note. Just ordered tickets.

We will be driving Atlanta to Louisville for the show on the 14th, then driving the next morning from Louisville to Columbia for this show. Then home to Atlanta, with “touristy” stops in St. Louis & perhaps Memphis. I thought we’d make a little vacation out of the trip…

    Tom

Hellfire, Tom, I’d show you around Memphis–if I planned to be there at the time. “touristy” indeed. I too bought floor/GA for Columbia, so see you there. “Little vacation” indeed. I’ll be at the end of an extended one looks like, but fresh as a daisy in many ways, let’s hope. Can you tell if Brown Theatre has seats, is reserved? This one may bear keeping an eye on, to get optimum spots near stage.

Yes, Kent, I think this critic somehow conflated the early version of “Out of Touch” from the Morlix Car Wheels demos with today’s live incarnation. I can’t imagine she waltzed through it Down Under. Even the studio Essence version has moved far beyond “monochordal.” At any rate, thanks for all these links.

Oh baby, Tom. There’s life after the U of Mizzou college town after all. Hopefully, this Okie show won’t be at a zoo or feature an Eagle as headliner.

Wow: what quantity, quality of songs. Brisbane is on the Southern coast, no? It’s a guess, somehow connected with “Atonement” and “Unsuffer Me” popping up in the encore, somewhat unusual. Those seem very “Southern” [American Southern that is] songs. Thanks for posting.

See the Santa Fe thread here: and seats have been selling for awhile now (new venue).

Thanks very much for the update. Those special shows sound very interesting…I only hope they don’t end up being over the weekend of October 10th, because I’ll be getting married then! 🙂

They say the Windy City makes a likely honeymoon spot–superior to Green Bay, I should think, at least…

“Sharp Cutting Wings” in Niagra, Niagra (no, it’s not titled Viagra, Viagra–it’s actually about a Tourette’s Syndrome kid); “Lonely Girls” in Shallow Hal; “I Envy the Wind” and I think “Blue” in some fairly recent French film with, I think, Isabel Huppert–I mentioned this to T Overby and he thought the rights had not been cleared with the LW camp. . . Wish I could remember that title: it pops up on Sundance and/or IFC on occasion. There’s more I’m drawing blanks on.

Tom, it’s enough to make me read the “Lucinda in General” stream as much as I follow the “Lucinda on Tour” stream; thanks. You could get a job with The New York Times with all that “Mr. Schermerhorn” and “Mr. L…” business. I’m not sure what a “sticky” is, Lafayette, but if it makes an Inside Job blog more accessible to me/us, go for it.

Somehow, Bob, I think parking at the casino (apparently near the Green Bay airport) will be considerably less than twenty bucks. There may even be a shuttle bus to the door! Clearly, this venue expects us to use the funds we might normally pay to TicketBastard for high roller purposes. Each man’s choice, I suppose. I’m grateful for the pricing scheme, even so.

    Hello from Berlin!
I just read from this new European Tour. Please let me know ALL the dates of this tour, for the moment I just know the Berlin date on July, 2nd.
Thank you all and sunny greetings from Germany,
    Berlingirl

Tickets on sale for Berlin yet? Venue? Any specifics would be appreciated. It sounds a bit earlier than the projected European debut (finding an acceptable tour bus was part of the issue I think), but maybe it’s so. I believe there might be a July 4 festival somewhere (Scandanavia?).

Wouldn’t that hurt the tips of one’s fingers to perform cart wheels on a gravel surface? I think tires can take it better. Still, thanks.
