Awesome – My Wife is a Ford employee, she will be thrilled that Neil is making an electric Lincoln. I have a Hybrid Ford Escape that runs on electric half the time around the city. I buy gasoline about once a month now.

Lefty – Do you know if there are any talks about Neil touring any time soon? I saw him and CSN in Columbus a few years ago, and they were great. I also saw him and Lucinda at the same outdoor theater (Polaris) a few years before that and the both were great.

Its nice that your wife let you bring your girlfriends to see what sounds like a great show.

I love those eyes. I love seeing her beautiful green eyes in the Austin City Limits concert DVD.

Personally I think this topic gets WAY too much discussion in this forum. Can Lucinda do wrong? – Absolutely. Is her behavior some times less than professional? – Absolutely.

“The Book? – Its odd but only occasionally distracts from the performance.

“False Starts” or flubbing lines – Its not that uncommon, Jack Johnson is famous for this and his fans actually like the “uniqueness” of the show they got to see, and cheer the errors.

“Starting Late” – Always an irritant, and way too common for live shows, but I’ve never had this issue at one of her shows.

Will any of this affect whether I buy tickets to a show, buy an album, listen to her music, or recommend her music to friends? – Absolutly not!!!

Yeah, I saw the UK Band also named Buick 6 but didn’t see anything on their sight about touring in the US. Plus non of those guys look like Doug Pettibone or Chet Lyster.

I’ve not seen it, only read it, but it doesn’t seem like that hard of a concept to “get”

Oh wait I mean yes, to answer the question above.

Or was the question are people slow here?

    Oh – Same answer

I would love to hear the Buick 6 version of one of my favorites from Neil Young, Cinnamon Girl. Sounds like they play it often. That is such a guitar centered song I bet Doug and Chet really jam out.

… You see your baby loves to dance – yeay yeah yeah!!

incredible guitar duo to follow, I’m sure and I never even heard them.

I always wondered if Who-Dey originated as a mispronunciation of a shout to the beer-guy for some Hudepohl, Cincinnati’s best.

I’m thinking the shirt was given to you as a large so it would be to big for you, and would be returned to the giver for whom it is perfectly sized – LOL.

I go to games with my brother in law, and we go to his neghbor’s tailgate party. He owns his own office furniture supply company, and buys, prepares, and cleans up everything. Anyone and everyone can drop by. Its a business expense. The more the merrier. I’ll IM you some details the day before, but I’ll have my TJ jersey on. Who’s your mama!

    Hey Lafayette,

I’ll get some Port and Company or anvil, or even Hanes white Tees and get them silkscreened with the out of print Lucinda Williams Album Cover and bring one to you at the football games this fall. I’ll be missing both pre-seasons, but will be at the Titan’s game on Sept 14th. Can I invite you to our tailgate party in lot B just a hundred yards east of the stadium?

At the show at Riverbend in Cincinnati they were selling T-Shirts with the Album Cover From “Lucinda Williams”. They looked cool and I stood in line to buy one. When they handed it to me it was not a T-shirt brand I recognized, it was very thin cheap fabrick, and cost 35 bucks. Come on, I get better quality t-shirts for free walking for March of Dimes.

Is this the start of the fall tour? I thought Inside Job said it would begin in the South.

    Kevin, and your boyfriend,

Welcome to this Lucinda Williams Forum. I’m fairly new here as well, but a long time fan. Thanks for the great review and set list.

    Lafayette,

I’m so sorry I forgot Music Hall in Cincinnati. It’s a beautiful 130 year old theater with acoustics that get very high ratings from all the Orchestras, Opera, and Ballet companies that perform there. Don’t laugh, but I actually saw Ray and Dave Davies there in the late seventies when I was in High School. We rushed the stage and I was able to touch Dave Davies Guitar.

L-O-L-A Lola, lo lo lo lo LOLA

LOL – That’s the last rock and roll concert I saw there so they may not be booking rock act’s, but if TO can do it, that would be awesome.

Has the Aronoff Center for the Porfrming Arts ever had a Rock Band perform there? I’ve taken my kids to a few Disney Musicals there which were amazing. Uh, oh, I’m feeling like I’m going to get slammed for taking my kids to a Disney production – ha ha. But the theater is an awesome place this state legislator brought to out town and named after himself.

Yeah – but Elvis and Lucinda record on the same label so I’m sure it makes the contracts and financials a lot easier. She did a duet with him on his Delivery Man album called There’s a Story in Your Voice. So he’s just returning the favor. Plus, I’ve always been a big Elvis fan, so I’m glad to hear they’ve teamed up again. Maybe they could tour together, kind of like Alison and Robert.

    Tony,

I’m jealous you made it to all the shows. And BTW if the Eagles come anywhere near Cincinnati, I’ll be getting tickets. I’ve got most of their albums, mostly in vinyl.
