When & IF lucinda ever goes the way of linda thompson or julie miller, i’ll point the finger at all of you who have bitched and moaned about her lyric book!
don’t go to the show if it distracts you so, most of us don’t care…
everyone’s entitled to their opinion, i just don’t understand what gets people goin’ i guess….
happy new year everyone! (i’m gonna be lovin’ me some jackie greene for new year’s, no matter what jeff tweedy says!)

lucinda ate at the restaurant i work at last night..i found her wallet on the floor and gave it to my manager..later i found her tennessee driver’s license on the floor also..i was busy so i put it in my pocket and forgot about it..i know she lives here in l.a. but have no idea where, have no address and no telephone number so there’s little chance i can return it to her unless i run into her again which is highly unlikely..would somebody like to purchase this lovely keepsake from me?

the boxset is worth the money just to have emmylou sing snowin on raton……….she’s another national treasure. i hold the night when she showed up at the el rey, danced around with lucinda and then sang the king of broken hearts with jim lauderdale & lu, as one of my musical highlights/musical ecstasy for a gram parsons fan.

OMIGAWRSH! lucinda went into more detail on bus to baton rouge in new york then she did in L.A.
i guess my only comment would be, as she goes thru her process, she’s surely helped me with mine…
she can testify anytime she wants…amen!
thanks for posting that, and thanks to the blogger that found it poignant enough to get on his blogspot so quickly.

i was interviewed on film, but i wasn’t asked to sign a release (like the adorable blonde he also interviewed)
so i’m guessing he knew he wouldn’t use it (he caught me off guard, after he left i thought, i just missed a golden opportunity)
after watching him in action tho, i know he shot some precious footage!

really great news, especially about the second sets!!!
i was listening to the self titled on the way home from work friday, and after hearing greg leisz’s playing on He Never Got Enough Love, I had tears streamin’ down my cheeks. these recordings are really poignant, and i’m grateful that i was able to go to those shows.

i was lucky enough to get to attend a bbc taping of emmylou harris & carolina star (minus a sick john starling, on the anniversary of gram’s death no less) and emmylou mentioned how great lucinda was a good half dozen times. she asked who’d been at the shows, she really did go on about lu.
she even started and stopped songs (for the taping) and proclaimed, hey, i was at lucinda’s show and she started and stopped. then when she did it again later, she said that’s my 2nd lucinda…she said it quite lovingly. it’s fun to be a part of the process, and got to hear snowing on raton twice, so no complaints here. they both sounded good to me (just like lucinda’s false starts sometimes sound great, but then she changes key and it’s oh yeah, that’s right)
lucinda is a wordsmith extraordinaire which is evident by the overall intelligence of her audience. i’ve yet to meet an inarticulate lucinda fan.

i watched the acl show, and while i defend your right to post your opinion (altho i question your motive) i heartily disagree with your assessment.
everyone has an off day, even brain surgeons, but they seemed right in time…

i like it for the ripping guitars…which in my head will always be chuck prophet and doug going at it after sunday night.
the lyrics are simple, but the feeling after the guitars kick in is kewl.
