Tom Overby; Any up-date on the release date?

I asked Tom this very question last night. Unfortunately, it has been delayed, with the earliest possible release after the first of the year…

    Tom

Well that sucks, but I’m not surprised. The release date has been delayed several times. I hope I’m still alive and kickin’ by the time its released.

Off the top of my head, there are many Townes Van Zandt covers that are really great (Steve Earle – Rex’s Blues and Tecumseh Valley, Guy Clark-No Lonesome Tune and REK – Snowin on Raton, Norah Jones – Be here to Love Me, to name a few).
Cross Canadian Ragweed does a good job with Neil Young’s The Needle and the Damage done.
I love Patty Griffin, but I prefer Bruce’s version. I guess maybe I don’t “buy” into that song when sung by a female.

Jackie Greene- “American Myth” and “Gone Wanderin'” and Robert Earl Keen – WIRM.

But I got Guy Clark’s :Work Bench Songs” and CCR – “Live & Loud at Cains” for xmas, so for the last couple of days it’s been those two.
