I don’t think it is live…her vocals sound nearly identical to the studio version of “Blue” on Essence. Listen to them one right after the other…

Truly a memorable night. I was directly in front of Lu’s mic, and saw the setlist and knew it was going to be a great show.

Lu seemed to be in a much better mood than she was on Wednesday; not that Wednesday she was in a bad mood, just quiet and didn’t talk a whole lot. Thursday was different, and she talked on and on about how great of an audience we all were: “a great listening audience and a great rocking audience, the best of both worlds,” as she put it 😀

Toward the end I shouted out, “Give us a fourth night!” Lu smiled big and began to say something, but David was trying to say something to her so she was distracted. She seemed to like the idea, though 😀

I’ve never been able to meet Lu after a show, but I crossed paths with Chet and shook his hand on the way out the door.

Awesome, awesome two nights (I wasn’t at the first night). I think they were two of the best performances I’ve seen from Lu.

I’m going to tonight’s Chicago finale. Are cameras allowed?

I’m pretty sure the official response is no, and especially none with a flash. Just think how distracting that would be when you are performing onstage to see camera flashes from the audience.

I did take some video with my iPhone last night, but that is not distracting as there is no flash.

Was a glorious night. She sounded great, and so did the band. And what an amazing setlist! I’d never heard “Memphis Pearl” or “Little Angel, Little Brother” performed live. Two of my favorite songs. And I always love that killer live performance of “I Envy the Wind.” The way she delivers it vocally, and the arrangement of the band is amazing. The room was silent. Amazing stuff.

Makes me super excited for tonight and tomorrow! Though, I do agree, I hope that they have removed the seating for the two remaining shows. People seem to enjoy the music more that way.

Just bought some tickets for the Chicago shows. I’m going to the second and third night, couldn’t do all three nights this time around (damn recession). It’s such a shame how much Ticketmaster tacks on the the price of a ticket. One night turns into $50 😡

Very excited, nonetheless. I’m sure Lu will make it a fantastic couple of nights! Can’t wait!

In my haste, I over looked the dates on the HRT website.

I’m really confused about the last posting….all those dates are confirmed? Even the Chicago ones? I thought no one knew for sure if those were happening? I can’t find any information on Lu’s site or High Road Touring about any of those dates…

So, since we are starting to see some new US fall shows emerge, are there any updates to the special Chicago shows that are trying to be planned?

Got my copy yesterday, but haven’t had a chance to really listen to it yet.

Hopefully tonight, but since the weather has taken a turn for the better here in Chicago (finally) it’s going to be hard to sit inside and listen to it.

Maybe I’ll toss it on my iPhone when I get home and take the dog for a stroll while listening.

I did listen to the version of “Well, Well, Well,” very different from the version on Little Honey. I’ll have to let it grow on me.

Just ordered my copy today. I’ve been putting it off, but finally did.

Wanted to buy the CD last time I saw Lu, in Chicago the week before Little Honey came out, but Buick 6’s CD was not yet available.

Will enjoy the CD when it comes next week with a few beers 😀
