Great show, I confirm, in spite of the problems with the first two songs… Just got home from Paris. Indeed, Paris during strike times is hard to endure… HARD TIMES IN PARIS!—But that’s another thing, another story, nothing to do with Lu and her show…
So back to the show. Le Trabendo is a great, great, very intimate venue. Been to the Zenith before, but never to Le Trabendo… Loved it from the moment I came in (which was much later than expected: since the ticket said 8PM I was under the wrong impression Lu’s show would start then, but actually they just opened the doors then; we had been waiting for almost an hour outside in the cold…), and Lucinda seemed to like it too… Said something like it’s the best venue in Europe so far, compared it to the Hamburg venue as havin’ been the only one coming close… Anyways, what I also didn’t expect (but should have!) was that there was an opening act. Unexpected—but very good! Who were those two guys? Heard the names, but forgot… Took some pix!
Then Lu. Came out late (after 9PM)—but too early for her… Stopped during the first song, said something about how bad her eyes are, contact lenses were missing, couldn’t remember the words of her own songs… Was pushed to get on stage, not ready yet… STAGEFRIGHT… Then a perfect version of Rescue. Same with the second song, Fruits… The audience was great, encouraging, applauding, telling her WE LOVE YOU!!!—And from the third song on everything was perfect… Lu got better ‘n better, the band was so with her and so tight… Again: GREAT show, Paris and Lu, that was something very, very special…

And thanx for the ear plugs for my son! 😉
He seemed to not enjoy the show (He’s 10 years old and it was his first Lu show), but he didn’t regret it at all! He was just very tired from a long day, he’s alright though, and yesterday he hummed Lu songs while walking thru Paris…

You may find the tees boring, but from the one I got (the white with the Lu pic from the self titled so called Rough Trade album printed on front) I can say it’s no low quality.
Only disappointment for me was that the two black ones I was interested in were not available in XL…

Of course there’s merchandising at the shows… Got me a T-shirt. Some tees are on sale!

Back from Cologne. F***in’ good show!!! I knew from the false start of the first song on that the night would be very special, and it was! Lucinda got better and better from song to song, the band’s so tight… Wonderful! The encore part seemed to be, again, what has been described before as a complete 2nd set! Not sure when exactly the show began (9PM was announced, I think they came on stage with a little delay) but we got somewhat like 2 1/2 hours of music at its best…

And I agree on what has been said before here, too, the two guitarists are both great great great and play together perfectly… Best moments for me were when Lu joined in on 3rd electric guitar…

    Looking forward for Paris… 😀

Snaggletooth — I am puzzled why you would say that no one ever responded, when in fact you PM’ed me on Nov. 1 at 4:47 PM and I responded 11/1 at 10:44 PM. Not only did I explain that your order was international and as a result was delayed, but I also mentioned to you that the venue for the Cologne show had changed to the Kantine and you responded back asking about showtime, which at that time I did not know.
In addition I know you are one of the regulars here and undoubtedly have seen my updates.

Sorry Insider, of course you’re right, and I didn’t mean it that way! I do apologize. What I meant to say is that I haven’t recieved a notice of shipping yet. I sent another e-mail to the shop and got the answer that my set will be shipped within the next 24 thru 48 hours, so all should be well… I just was a little disappointed that the CDs weren’t here before the Cologne show, but it’s nothing. The gig in Cologne was SO GOOD, I don’t mind the delay of the CDs no more…

Again: SORRY for my too short and in some way incorrect post. I didn’t have the time for the whole story, and looking back I know I’d better have not posted anything at all instead of what I did post…

You’re not the only one. I ordered and paid for the L.A. set on October 1; never heard anything of it ever since. Well, hope dies last…
