Is anyone’s Swedish good enough to tell me if the May 25th show in Uppsala is seated or standing. Fits in nicely the day after Emmylou plays “down the road” in Stockholm.

Would have much preferred Perth to Edinburgh but tix already in hand for Bonnie Raitt the same night.

Thanks, I have got my tickets by the route you explained, but I got a choice of Gallery Seated or Stalls Standing.
Chose gallery seating but kept coming up as unavailable; settled for standing eventually. Queen’s Hall is usually seated rows or “cabaret” tables, or has been any time I’ve been there.

Presale begins for Edinburgh, tomorrow, can anyone help with code/password please.
No password required. Enter Ticketmaster via gigsinscotland.com. Looks like they are only selling stalls standing tix though.

silkbandanasParticipantSure it must be mentioned somewhere here already (just can’t find it) but tix go on sale tomorrow for 2 nights at London Jazz festival in November.

silkbandanasParticipantDisappointing that the Toronto shows involve pre-sales (Amex holders then North American resident Livenation subscribers) before the fans get a chance at the “good” seats. Making the trip from Scotland for these ones to celebrate our own 30th anniversary (wedding).
I see the scalpers are already doing business on Ebay and only 4 times the face value!
silkbandanasParticipantIf I can join all these new posters and add a couple of comments re the Sage. First of all the show was exactly what I was expecting and thought Lu sounded and looked great. However, people beside me were only vaguely acquainted with her work and one gent had never even heard of her! I suspect there may have been quite a number in those categories and a lot of the publicity material did call her a “country star”.
She did admit afterwards that they thought when it was billed as Summertyne Festival that it would be an outdoor show with copious amounts of alcohol being consumed and maybe the set was wrong for the venue. I believe all the UK shows are seated and although I really like the Sage as a venue it is not for this type of show.
Having said that, I don’t think I have ever heard (or rather not heard) a quieter audience anywhere, EVER. The applause was plentiful and loud but otherwise it was almost totally silent. (I don’t know if the couple I saw in the afternoon playing cards during Diana Jones set made it along!)
I’m going to the Perth show this week-end; hopefully the audience will be up for it. FWIW I also saw the Flatlanders the following night at the Sage and the crowd WERE on their feet at the end. -
