Sounds great. Glad to see she had a great time. Colin James is a bonus too.

shadParticipantMassey Hall show last night was absolutely magic!
For those who don’t know, Toronto’s Massey Hall is a beautiful 100 year old music theatre in the heart of the city. It has been a venue that has brought out the best in a wide variety of performers from Gordon Lightfoot, to Neil Young to Keith Richards.
Lucinda Williams made it plain she was excited and proud to be there last night.
She was as warm and nervous as a schoolgirl on a first date.
After messing up the intro to Ventura a few times she admitted she couldn’t read the lyrics without her glasses…that kind of honest humour is priceless.
Her singing was spine tingling on Those Three Days and Unsuffer Me and Fruits of My Labours.
Wonderful to hear the band rocking out on Come On and Righteously.
The guest spot with Toronto’s own Colin Linden swapping some blistering blues licks with Doug Pettibone was an unexpected treat.
By the time Lucinda was swaggering through Real Live Bleeding Fingers, i thought i’d died and gone to heaven.
All i can say is thank you….and please come back soon.i noticed from my seat in the front row that there were several fancy Sennheiser mics pointed out at the audience on either side of the stage…this generally indicates a soundboard recording is being made.
Lets hope the recording was successful and the fans get a chance to hear it. -
