Thanks very much for the link and the background, LWj.. Very impressive.
Doing some driving on this trip and am now planning on picking up their Mountain cd to check out on the drive.

Definitely will report back on the concert, but it may be a few days after as for some reason no matter how much
I think I have it, posting/logging in remotely always seems to give me trouble.. 😐

    Thanks again… Mike

I am not familiar with HB except from one of the concert poster of Lu’s I’ve collected…
But… as luck would have it.. I will be catching the Bob Seger (walk down memory lane with a buddy) concert in Phoenix the night before Lu’s show in Tuscon!! Got great seats, and am now looking forward to the show that much more.
    Thanks for the info!- Mike

I had joined you in spirit as soon as you posted, Mr. S. I was pre-occupied with football all day yesterday and it took until this morning for me to come in here and post that.

I appreciate the fact that you corrected your posture for 6this show.

I also was pre-occupied with football, but like my Seahawks.. it was for only a few minutes of the day 😆 .

I believe you will see some different KBB personnel in the bass and drum slots, Mike.

Interesting… Does Lilly Mae still sit in with the band??

Thanks for the excellent and descriptive report, roger. I can’t imagine what my reply(s) or my future posturing might be if I were asked to “not lean” or to “sit normal” at Lu’s or any show that I would attend, really. Absurd.

As for the track “It’s Gonna Rain” I heard that live, for the first time at Woodland Park Zoo concert in Seattle where Bill Frisell also joined in ( I thought he also sang back-up on the track, but it may have been Jakob Dylan). Anyway,I believe it was before I had heard it on the album and in listening to the lyrics, was certain it was written in Seattle..
Now I know.. not the case.

Enjoy the rest of the concerts and cruise!! And I’m really not jealous at all ; )
Hope to see you on the west coast.

Nice to see The Kenneth Brian Band announce yesterday (via twitter) that they would be joining Lu on the West Coast leg upcoming… sans Canada. They will however be at all the announced shows up to and including Red Rocks!

They may have announced this earlier on their FB, but it was (great) news to me…

Merry Christmas to Tom and Lucinda and the band and to all in the FF as well!

Hope to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones in the upcoming year as it appears it will be another great year with lots of shows and who knows.. by the end of it we could very possibly have another new album to enjoy.

    Grateful for it all.

    Thanks for posting!

Two take-aways from the Tiny Desk Concert.

1st- Who do I have to.. I mean, what do I have to do to get one of those Peace, Love & Rock n Roll shirts Butch is modeling? Probably an old one, but one I would scoop up if still being produced..

2nd- I just copy & pasted my Protection video from this. Where do I pick up the 6k to finish producing? 😀

Nah.. not really judging by headliner length on that particular venue.. just would love to check it out.

I think the nearly 4k mile relatively quick car road-trip took a toll on me for RR..
Was worth it.. but a better flight than a drive..

I must admit, I do love to drive and combine some planned/unplanned adventures!!

Definitely going to do a Memphis/Nashville fly/drive trip coming up soon.
The Stones are rumored for Bonnaroo… or when Lucinda makes a swoop, just looking for a good reason..

Any other venue, I gotta think Lu wins the headliner battle with BHT (they hail from up the road..) every time.
I’d make the trip just to catch Lu and the band at the amazing venue, but not as the opener.. at least not for this headliner. Caught Tedeschi Trucks Band there last July, and would jump at the chance…

Bucket list venue for me now is that cavern in Tennessee… Love for it to be a Lucinda show, think there is any chances of a repeat, Mr. Roger??

I’m up to four… Joy, Ventura, Concrete and Barbed Wire, and Drunken Angel… That may have been all, but were the highlight of the festival for me..
