ParticipantNice report Roger.. thanks.
Enjoy Iowa…
Last time I saw Lu in Iowa was a very memorable show in Council Bluffs..Lu and the band should have plenty of time to work the bugs out before tomorrows show..
(drive safe..tip your waitress)Mike_Doran
ParticipantThey definitely did hail from the NW, Roger.. tacoma I believe.
They also pre-dated (and lasted longer than) our departed Super Sonics…Mike_Doran
ParticipantFamiliar with The Clash’s song.. had never heard Lu cover it though.
Now looking forward to it.Mike_Doran

ParticipantThanks Paul!
Very, very good news.Trying to purchase a ticket for the Olympia show now via the link, and am unable to as yet..
Wonder when the pre-sale might be..And the Vernon, BC one maybe a festival(??)
May make a nice family trip out of that one… Beautiful up in that neck of the woods for certain..Mike_Doran
ParticipantWhooo Hooo!!!
A show I can WALK to on 7-22!!
(Mt. Baker Theatre or ..????)I am thrilled... will be just back from the last RS show on the 16th!!’
Olympia and BELLINGHAM and maybe even Vernon, BC… YAY!!!!Mike_Doran
ParticipantWas a “lightning delay” when I attended last summers Tedeschi Trucks show there… made for some very tense (and wet) moments.. followed by great music and a killer Double Rainbow.
As Keith Richards (of all people) says.. when you play outdoors, God joins the band..
(He’s utilizing a rain stick this tour that so far has been quite effective 😉 )Great report as usual , Roger!
*noticed “Should I stay or Should I Go” as an option in TO’s set-list.. ever played before?? Or joke due to circumstances??Mike_Doran

Sorry, no HSB this year -it’s generally not done 2 years in a row. After Grass Valley there isn’t any more California planned for the rest of the year -I think we’ve covered it pretty good this year.
But will anything fill in between Grass Valley and Calgary, TO?
The Pacific Northwest is right on the way…. 😀

ParticipantThanks Roger, I hadn’t seem that…
Congratulations to the whole crew!!
And a special congrats to Stuart as well.Mike_Doran

ParticipantGood for you Tony!!!
Sounds like an amazing night!I was thinking of you when I posted .. if there is a cool gig in your area.. you’re typically all over it.
By the way.. coming down for the San Diego Rolling Stones opener and arriving a week+ early in LA (5-16) with hopes of catching a rumored smaller opening show or surprise club gig, et al.. If you hear of any must see shows during that week.. I would appreciate the info!! -Mike

Yes there will be some shows the second half of Sept into early Oct.
Going to be in Montreal in route to Quebec City a mere ten days after Lu’s performance there… bummer.
Hoping that the West Coast gets in on some of the mid/late summer or Sept./Oct action…Mike_Doran
ParticipantWonder if any forum/band members were lucky enough to catch either of the two surprise(?) club gigs Neil’s done in the last ten days… One in San Louis Obispo on the 16th and the latest last night at Pantages in LA..

ParticipantThere’s the start (hopefully) of some western summer dates I’m looking for…
Hopefully this festival is perhaps the start(or middle heading north) of a west-coast swing as opposed to the end, as I will just be getting back to the left coast that day.. Saw the Oregon Zoo line-up yesterday with no Lucinda on it and thought maybe the northwest summer leg may be missed this year..

ParticipantWish I was going to be at any of the southern dates.. as I would definitely take you up on that.
As of now, I’ll be in LA.. and San Diego, then not again until Detroit, Buffalo, and Quebec City(!!). -
