ParticipantAt the time of the pre-sale I didn’t think I was going either and recently had my plans changed, and am now heading out for Billings and then Missoula in the morning..
I posted an ad on craigslist in Missoula.. emphasizing that I needed just the one ticket as opposed to the other posts needing two etc.. I got an email this morning and just completed the electronic transaction!
My post is still up.. if I get another response I will forward to you and/or post here.. Mike

ParticipantLove it when Lu lets overzealous security know that dancing, pics, etc. are encouraged…
Sounds like Mike from Iowa may have gotten a little too encouraged though… Gotta watch those Mikes.Mike_Doran
ParticipantJust noticed Tom posted the pic he took of my Lu Tattoo on FB…
She seemed to genuinely like it.. Nice.Mike_Doran
ParticipantThanks for the report stoger.
Side of the Road, Sweet Side and Real Live Bleeding Fingers in the same setlist!
Very nice. Not to mention Righteously and Blue.. great setlist indeed.Lu didn’t do much/any political speak in Bellingham.. but I can assure you Bernie Sanders would have gotten a big round of applause here…. See you in Montana!

ParticipantThanks stoger… Listened to Lafayette yesterday (prompted by the shootings) having not heard it in a while and figured Lu would likely play it… While I like and enjoyed the song, I did find myself thinking that Lu’s songwriting had come a long way..
Enjoy the trip to Alberta… beautiful country I’ve heard.. especially by train if you are still traveling via rail.
(Like how you wrote the post in Canadian style.. (humour as opposed to humor)..but I believe that the scratched song would then be “Fruits of My Labour”…)

ParticipantWhat a great show and a great night!!
Bellingham’s official city motto is “The City of Subdued Excitement”.. and my concern was the hometown crowd’s excitement for Lu would remain subdued throughout the whole show.. Not the case.. Lu and the band had the crowd standing and rocking in the aisles giving the previous night’s fantastic Olympia crowd a run for it’s money.
Great setlist… loved hearing a few that I’ve not heard or at least not for a while.. Metal Firecracker, Burning Bridges and a great solo version of Walk On.. Also really enjoyed hearing the Clash’s Should I Stay or Should I Go.. Great encore song.. some in the crowd headed for the exit early and came rushing back for the final anthem Rockin’ in the Free World.
A special treat on what was my wife, Michelle and I’s anniversary celebration concert was being able to go backstage afterwards and meet Lu , Tom and the band.. I’ve said hello a few times before but this ended up being a really nice visit.. So gracious and down to earth, what a nice surprise to be able to do (thanks again Roger).. And what a fantastic way to end the night on Lu’s first (and hopefully not last) visit to Bellingham.

ParticipantExcellent show and a great crowd!
Sitting wasn’t an option in my front row seat and that’s exactly why i made the trip down.. looked like a place that will be a little less stuffy than my neighborhood Mt. Baker Theatre will be tonight..In our State Capitol, Lu has upped the ante on political speak since the last time I saw the band in February. Donald Trump even got a chuckling mention.
Singer/songwriter Matt Blake from Austin kicked off the evening and had me chuckling with a song he wrote titled “Keith Richards Old Bones” .. https://soundcloud.com/matt-blake-music/05-keith-richards-bones?in=matt-blake-music/sets/all-the-dirt-in-town
Buick 6 sounded great as usual.. doing their very slowed down version of Righteously and Butch has added a pre-recorded french woman speaking that he plays during one of the songs to his bag of tricks that had me looking around for the woman… The voice also appears on their new album, which I listened to on the drive home and enjoyed very much…The crowd really was into it and Lu seemed to love it and feed off of the enthusiasm..
Great to run into stoger.. and am looking forward to another one tonight!Mike_Doran
ParticipantThanks for posting the setlist fm setlist link…
First time I’ve heard the band’s cover of Should I Stay or Should I Go..
Sounded great!Mike_Doran
ParticipantLove the Brooklyn Bowl!!
Went to three straight nights of Tedeschi-Trucks Band there and it’s a great spot! The general admission ($35 adv/37 day of) are the ones you want if you want to be down front on the floor.
The seating is at the back of the venue and not great viewing… a few on the side as well I believe.Course, they could have changed it since I was there last, but I doubt it.
Huge area for Gen Admission…A must get there is their Fried Chicken.
Best I’ve ever had.
(Sorry Mom)I may make the trip down .. not sure yet.. but it is a great venue in Vegas.

ParticipantI’m 30+ years sober and even I don’t enjoy a dry Lu show as much as a wet one… 😀

ParticipantThe “two rats f-ing in a wool blanket” line just got added to the repertoire.
Thanks Roger.. (and Lu)Mike_Doran
ParticipantAt first i thought perhaps just the pre-sale allotment were sold or something like that.. but it does appear the Missoula show sold out that quick. Bellingham also was selling briskly as well…
Nice to see these places that Lu doesn’t normally play selling so well!

Lucinda Willans is SOLD OUT. Thanks to all that purchased tickets. Looking forward to the show!”Mike_Doran
ParticipantThanks Roger.. Love the political banter that occasionally picks up during election seasons.
My “Lu in ’08” shirt is getting a little tight…Perhaps a “Lu in ’16” version is around the corner..Mike_Doran
