To each his own David, but the set lists are in fact very different. There’s no need for the “hind leg” reference. I don’t recall insulting you.

Is this a joke? Seriously? You have been complaing on this forum about the lack of early career songs. You touted the 30/30/30 David Byrne model. Now Lucinda plays two or three songs from every one of her albums dating back to 1979, and you still complain? Her setlists are indeed different than they’ve been in the last three years.

And for the record, the complaints about this and the previous show seem to me to be more about Lu’s attitutude (i.e. couple leaving mid song) and the band being too loud, but I don’t recall anyone but you complaining about her song selection.

While I was not there, I can say that for at least the last year, they pretty much always close with “Long Way To The Top…” So, while it may have seemed an abrupt & unplanned end to the show, that song usually is the show closer…

    Tom

It wasn’t the closer in Greensboro, Tom, but I know it usually is.

    Luke,
I remember the guy clapping, but I don’t remember making that comment. Maybe you read my thoughts. We talked a little bit after the show. I remember you asking me if I am from that area. Your girlfriend (I think she has blond hair) asked me if I enjoyed it. Of course I said yes. I don’t know why I did not ask if you post here.

Yes, we were really close. Lucinda looked at me a few times. I think she was looking at my Mark Twain T-shirt.

oops, I think I confused you with the guy sitting on my left. That must have been seat 11. Yeah, I remember you now. That orchestra pit is too cool.

    Hey DavidW,
I was that guy sitting beside you in seat 9, my girlfriend was in seat 10. I should have introduced myself. What a show, huh? Remember laughing about that guy clapping out of time, and you were saying “the band can hear that…he’s going to mess them up.” He stopped shortly after that. But you are right about the band hearing. We were so close if one of us sneezed Lu would have said “bless you.”

See you at the next one.

    Hey Courtners,
I saw you standing to my left in the pit and commented to my girlfriend, “This will be on YouTube tomorrow morning.” Nice videos. The framing is like pro shot. So the ushers (standing right behind you) didn’t mind you filming? Just curious.

    Thanks for posting.

It’s a cute hat Tom, but in my opinion Lu looks better in a cowboy hat (or no hat at all). I’m just saying.
