From her steamy, breathy refrain of “Oh, baby” on the opening track “Right In Time”

    2 words out of 3 ain’t bad.

i posted this on LW’s facebook wall then i decided to create a card with the message: http://semionatoecards.blogspot.com/2012/02/15.html

btw, you guys can check this blog out. i post there the cards i write @ someecards.com. i’m a funny guy, i don’t know if that shows here, and so far 49 of the 51 cards posted are written in english – so you won’t feel bad that you can’t read Portuguese.

some of them are slightly… uh, sexually charged. i’m sorry, i live in the tropics. they’re worthwhile, i suppose, if only for the appropriate use of the english language. on that regard, i have to thank your patiente to navigate through my 420 posts in this forum.

    self-promotion’s over.

the thing is: is it that nice to be praised in an article full of poison?

i thought about this for 2 straight minutes — how the olympics could be prejudicial to an artist’s tour — and couldn’t come up with a reasonable explanation. maybe london but why anywhere else?

and it’s not like any edition of the olympic games other than the glorious one from 2016 is remotely important to disturb an artist’s tour itinerary.

Blake called “I Just Wanted to See YOu…” a song “cruelly underperformed”

    2.

i’d change HONEY BEE for IJWTSYSB in every setlist. same vibe, BETTER song.

really personal P.S.: what can i say? lucinda’s biggest, fastest, frenziest, hormone-addled epic is a fitting song for my month of january. except for all that driving.

i like the name of the venue, for some reason.

nice to see some love for KNOWING lately – very lovable song.

i’ve read mary karr’s LIT for the brazilian edition. i didn’t like this book at all. [maybe because it was the worst translation ever and i almost got insane working on it.]

great stuff, BUT i have to disagree with your bill buford assessment. i’ve read delta nights 3 times*, and i’ve never found a richer NYer profile. i love the fact that buford is a bit bewildered with lucinda’s force or presence, he doesn’t know what to make of her. narrative in this article is second to human nature. i even thought about that last week, when i got to read the very recent one they published about the brazilian president – our great spiritual leader -, shocklingly narrow and pale and boring and dumb.

    * i have the article, if anyone wants it, send me a message.

i woke up feeling like fukuyama today. everything’s the end of everything. maybe the heat’s to blame. we’re suffering here.

but i understand your point of view. and gotta apologize anticipatedly for being such a disruptive force in seated shows. must be the hot climate.
