but what exactly will be the kitchen tapes? it will concern only the new material or older (‘lost’) songs will be made available as well?
It seems there are plans to release TWO editions of “Blessed”. One, the “regular”, one-CD edition & two, a “deluxe” edition that will include a second CD of……………”The Kitchen Tapes”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i’m listening to ‘somebody somewhere…’ on repeat now.
The camera guys will be there tonight and hopefully we will get some good footage.
that’s really nice! any chances of a dvd release? a lucinda acoustic dvd is much needed!
i can’t imagine what’s like to listen to ‘joy’ and ‘honey bee’ that way, but if i could choose one, just one, song to listen acoustically that’d be ‘mama you sweet’. what’d happen then? no idea, but lucinda’d manage.
they deleted the video, and those copyright people are now deciding about whether they send me to prison in cambodia, a summer camp in sahara or a gulag in siberia, so i give up. let’s pretend that 10-years-old never-commercially-released material is just as inexcusable as the latest true blood episode.
i heard by my german friend that this is not exactly rare (but i guess he’s speaking from a bootleg-centric perspective), so you’re not missing much. you, i mean, you, die-hard, long-time, europe-US friends (that probably watched it and taped it); i’m not talking about that guy from china, the woman from thailand or the teenager from chile that recently started listening to lucinda (or elvis); not talking about people from africa, south america and asia that will probably never go to a concert and that find quite delightful every footage that comes on on youtube.
let’s enjoy 2 kool and those two from JH while they let us. maybe someone could delete this thread after all.
i still have to get sessions at 54th – it’s so heavy that will destroy my ratio.

chrissie hynde et al. really joined lucinda for sweet side? such a fitting/perfect song for this.
She says she could release a “best of the Bad Boy songs” record & it could be a double album.
great remark, now i’m confortable to laugh (re: a previous one from lucinda about a album of suicide songs).
nice report, tom. terrific setlist. i hope she keeps performing songs from “back then” in the next few years, when i plan to catch a couple of shows. good to know, from a previous report, that she doesn’t get tired of playing drunken angel after a decade.
I’m actually going to try to take a little video if I can get away with it – especially of new songs. I have a little Flip MinoHD video recorder I’m going to try & get into the venue & use (they took it from me at Saratoga – I will be more careful this time…
if you manage, try to record 2 kool, should it happen. we only have 2 videos of it on youtube (plus the SNL stunning performance which i’ll upload shortly). for a car wheels song (scratch that, for a *masterpiece*), it’s very unrepresentated. have a great time!
