Participantthank god i’m a southern hemispherer. i just would like the meaty schedule of concerts you guys up there have.

Participanti still have no clue.
but let me just tell you that some CRAZY people around here are involved in a insane project – a compilation of 75 versions of the same song (2 kool 2 be 4-gotten) on 5 cds, including a über-rare demo recording found in the outskirts of ice-cold sweden.
you can’t beat that, at least.

Participantzoo, kids, really? that’s a great concept. good luck to the parents explaining essence’s “shoot your love into my veins” verse to their kids. well, it’s kind of a pg-13 verse if you DON’T think deeply about it.
good heavens, 6 of the first 7 songs are from car wheels. first time i get sad to catch the sight of pineola, interrupting the CW train of genius. i also happen to love seattle after that, despite the zzz rom-com with meg ryan that made the city known worldwide.

Participanti LOVE vancouver.

Thanks for responding, punch drunk. Yeah, three songs in, it looked like a promising night for the Car Wheels album. Still, Victoria was one of the best. . . .
can’t let go is played a lot and, uh, it’s a cover (not that there’s anything wrong with that, to quote seinfeld), and joy is ALWAYS present so it became invisible to my eyes, so my bizarre math says we’ve got just 01 car wheels song there. at least it’s the best one. 🙂
ps: i love both CLG and especially joy.

Participantcan i go off topic real quick?
did any of you get the chance to visit vancouver? it’s nearby, no? father says it’s the 3rd most beautiful ciy he’s ever been to, and judging by the first two i would say he has fantastic taste in cities.
so, is it wonderful?

Participanti have nothing against the rockers, but they are a small fraction of LW’s ouvre and yet they get 50% (or more!) of the setlists.
furthermore, quieter songs like “reason to cry” (is there a softer lucinda song?) are just maddening, deafening beautiful, then when it comes to LW i guess i can never really say that a mellow song is indeed mellow because they are mostly heartbreaking and they yell out loud to my mind in the most unexpected ways.
in a way, “reason to cry” is just as thrilling as “honey bee”. serenity can rock, people.

Participantgood stuff, but i would love a transcript. i liked the bit in which lucinda is asked if she still gets off with her voice.

Participantnice setlist, but i’m *worried* about the minimum prevalence of car wheels songs on the latest ones.

Participantmellow yellow, i’m afraid.
