ParticipantTwas a fab night. A bit warm, and apart from a few “showers” on the way over from Lancashire nice and dry. Holmfirth is one of those odd places that gets its own microclimate due to its position.

Participant“650 capacity”
Actually the Picturedrome holds 690, and I think there were 690 people in there!!! Fine night, the first time Mrs. B has seen Lucinda, and apart from a slight overheating issue she really enjoyed it. Nice to hear more of the stories behind the songs,

Participantthe pub next door is usually popular, and there’s loads of bar just over the road. As I said in my other post, not sure what time the missus and me will make it, it’s all about getting out of work and missing the traffic.

ParticipantNot sure what time we’ll be there, but it’ll be fairly close to the gig because I’m working then have to travel over from Clitheroe.

ParticipantI’ll be at Holmfirth next Thursday for my “pre-birthday” night out!

Yes -you count- and it sounds like you got the track and if there is indeed a male vocal the wrong version was sent out -so right about now I am having an oh @#$% moment.
So, will there be another track sent out then…………
Most confusing!

ParticipantToday I received :
“Hi,
Thank you for your patience while we verify and process thousands of emails. You will receive your 4 downlaods as soon as possible!
Regards,
Lucinda Williams Management”
so definite signs of life!!!
…also good to know that I’m not the only person who mistypes “download.”

ParticipantThe “Cowgirls Get The Blues” disc” is certainly a strange one. The running order seems mghtily confused, and there is a shortage of information about the tracks on there. The Troubadour logo in the bottom corner is a pain in the bum, and the quality of most of it seems a generation or two renmoved from the master to say the least.
Despite that, it’s a fascinating watch, and I really enjoyed it!!!!

ParticipantEverybody shouldcover Goin’ Back, it’s truly fab. I’ve got Nils Lofgren, The Icicle Works and Jon Bon Jovi to name but a few, and I can’t get enough versions of it.
Lucinda’s style would suit the song to a tee!!!!
