I don’t understand why people get so upset about the lyric book. I’ve seen both Paul McCartney and Dylan use monitors or sheet music. Who cares? The shows were still awesome.
parkercaParticipantI am really surprised “West” didn’t get more grammy noms. I thought it was a solid album.
parkercaParticipantI think they are close but the LA show wins between the “Sweet Old World” Shows. I think the “Fan Story” makes the LA show just a bit better. haha
parkercaParticipantahhh how about Jack White??
parkercaParticipantThat’s the first time I saw her also. Kansas City in Aug 03. My first Neil show also.
parkercaParticipantOuch that one stung also.
parkercaParticipantIf not Doug, Hank III would be a great choice.
…Or how about Rascal Flatts??? haha Just Kidding….
parkercaParticipantBob Dylan “live 66”
Johnny Cash “Live at Folsom Prison”
George Harrison “Concert for Bangladesh”parkercaParticipantI had heard somewhere, (don’t remember if it was at one of her shows or an interview) that she has scheduled studio time in January to start recording another album. If this is the case, I doubt she hits the road again until April at the earliest.
parkercaParticipantThat would be awesome. I’d make it.
parkercaParticipantI just checked mine and it’s fine.
parkercaParticipantShe played Cains in May 07. I think it was the first time she played “honeybee”.
It was a great show. She needs to play oklahoma more often.parkercaParticipantI’m not sure if she ever plays anything from her first two albums besides “I Lost It” and “Disgusted”. It would be interesting to hear her play more songs from those albums.
parkercaParticipantEssence was also the first album I bought of Lucinda’s. (after hearing her version of “Cold, Cold Heart” from the Hank Williams tribute album).
The next album I would buy is “Car Wheels On A Gravel Road” and then:
-Lucinda Williams (+ Bonus Tracks)
-West
-World Without Tears
-Sweet Old World
-Live at the Fillmore-Happy Woman Blues
-Ramblin
(the last two are ok, but I don’t listen to them nearly as much as the top albums)parkercaParticipantNo. Two different songs. “The Knowing” was going to be the title of “West” (the album). The song “The Knowing” was left off of the West album alltogether.
Ok…Now that we cleared that up….Who’s on first… j/k
